This document presents a grid that maps competences to support the development of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) programs. It is divided into two sections: 1) competences for underpinning CLIL programs, including defining CLIL, adopting CLIL approaches, policy and curriculum integration; and 2) competences for setting CLIL in motion, including integration, implementation, second language acquisition, learning environments and assessment. Each competence area includes specific competences and indicators to help develop CLIL teacher training. The grid is intended as a framework to support pre-service and in-service CLIL teacher development.
