Barcelona extends free public Wi-Fi hotspots to the entire city.
Seoul provides free Wi-Fi at all public areas.
Environment
Barcelona has initiatives like Smart Lighting, Smart Water,
Zero Emissions Mobility to enhance energy conservation and
efficiency.
Safety
Seoul launched u-Seoul Safety Service and u-Children Safety
System to help people suffering Alzheimer’s disease and locate
missing children.

Public Consultation on New Franchise for Bus Network of KMB (closing on Apr 18)
• Government to push the transport companies to release more traffic data:
Static data: bus routes, bus stops and schedules, fares and discounts etc.
Dynamic data: real-time bus location, arrival time etc.
Public Engagement for Electronic Road Pricing Pilot Scheme (closed in March)
• Can consider Singapore’s GNSS / Taiwan’s UHF RFID model
• Release real-time traffic data for open data development
• Measures to promote ride-sharing, designated areas for trams and pedestrians
• Enhance cross-departmental cooperation
