 Is a geographic region in Western Asia between the
Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.
 Total Pop. 11,000,000 and in Palestinian territories
4,420,549 ( West Bank 2,719,112 , Gaza Strip 1,701,437 ).
 3 religions state ‘ a lot of freedom 

4. Introduction
Palestine like any place in the developing
countries, suffer from solid waste
generated, here I will explain the solid
waste situation in Palestine and the
household waste specially with some
details and possible solutions .

5. Introduction
 ( Solid waste ) around 78, 644 ton / month , And
80% of these amount are organic wastes .
 ( Household solid waste ) around 2.321 ton / day
, 1,710 ton from West bank area and 611 ton
from Gaza , One single family production around
3.5 Kg , Almost 0.6 kg / Person .

6. Environmental Impacts of
Solid Waste.
 The widespread practice of open burning causes
additional environmental and health risks.
 Where dioxins and furans are released from open
burning, especially from any polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
contained in the waste. These hazardous substances
cause long-lasting damage to the environment.
 Bad odor and smells.
 Birds and insects spread may transfer some diseases to
nearby inhabited areas.
 Accumulation of solid waste might lead to the spread
of the dry waste to distant areas by the effect of
winds.
