Diagnosis: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Elizabeth H. Location: Plover, WI, US Age: 8 "Everything will be ok in the end. If it is not ok, it is not the end." Cancer can take a lot from you if you let it. This quote sums up our family belief. Elizabeth is a very happy and active little girl, even with cancer.
Hi everyone. As you know my name is Aiden Zadurski. I enjoy riding my bike, playing with sidewalk chalk. hanging out with my friends and family, blowing bubbles, and tricking my Papa Joe with my magic tricks. Diagnosis : Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) Aiden Z. Location: Marinette, WI, US Age: 5
Diagnosis: Neuroblastoma Lilyana B. Location: Rosendale, WI, US Age: 6 Lilyana is usually a happy loving little girl who loved to spend time with mom, dad, and her sister, Alissa. She loves to watch Dora and SpongeBob. Up until being diagnosed, she liked going to school and seeing her friends every day.
Diagnosis: Neuroblastoma Lillia B. Location: Merrill, WI, US Age: 5 Normal life changed forever the day we took our usually healthy 2 year old in to the doctor with what we thought was just a flu bug. She was diagnosed with stage IV Neuroblastoma High risk, unfavorable. The cancer had spread from one side of her abdomen to the other wrapping finger-like around organs. It was in her distant lymph nodes and bone marrow. One of the hardest parts for her was loosing her pretty hair.
Diagnosis: Osteosarcoma Katie C. Location: Altoona, WI, US Age: 15 When we were getting ready for Katie's benefit, we asked her to come up with a saying that could be used on her benefit stuff. She looked at me and said, "Believe in Yourself". It was used as the theme of her benefit and has become her motto to live by.
Diagnosis: T-Cell NH Lymphoma Owen A. Location: Fond du lac, WI, US Age: 10 Owen was diagnosed with T-Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in August 2008 and our entire family's lives changed forever---as did many people who know us. He is currently going through a treatment protocol that includes 108 weeks of treatment, which will continue until about September of this year.
Diagnosis: Brain and Spinal Cord Tumor Hayley C. Location: Eau Claire, WI, US Age: 7 Hayley was diagnosed at age 1 1/2 during an MRI to rule out certain developmental disabilities. She was not sitting upright unassisted, nor walking (as well as other delays) which indicated that something was not right. A tumor was found in her brain. This past April (2009) we received the best news! Her tumor was gone!
I was 16 when I was diagnosed. I received 8 treatments and now I am 20 and going to the doctor every 6 months. I like to play guitar and watch movies. I am a big fan of Dukes of Hazzard. In June of 2006 I went to Dukefest in Tennessee and met at the original cast. Diagnosis Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Travis J Davis Location: Abbotsford, WI, US Age: 20 .
Diagnosis: Neuroblastoma Brittany C. Location: Green Bay, WI, US Brittany was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at the age of 4 1/2. She relapsed three times and went through chemo, radiation, surgeries, stem cell harvest, stem cell transplant, and antibody treatments. She continued to fight this beast and tried to lead a normal life as an active teenager.
We were devastated when Ida was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 just after her first birthday. Hepatoblastoma is a liver cancer that is mostly diagnosed in children age 3 and under. We didnt even know that kids could get liver cancer. In North America, only 100 kids are diagnosed with this type of cancer each year. Diagnosis: Hepatoblastoma Ida D. Location: Beaver Dam, WI, US Age: 5
Ethan is a 4 year-old boy who has been blessed in his little life so far. He battled brain cancer for a year and now, almost 2 years later, everything is still stable! Praising God for His protection! Diagnosis: Brain or Spinal Cord Tumor Ethan W. Location: Marinette, WI, US Age: 4
Diagnosis: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) Amelia G. Location: Green Bay, WI, US Age: 6 Through it all Amelia has had a smile that is contagious, with her dimples shining through. Amelia had adjusted to her new life, knowing all her medications; which ones tasted yucky and which ones were okay. She even had her own "medicine dance" she did to make it more fun.
