This document outlines a lesson plan for teaching first grade students about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It includes 5 activities: 1) Discussing fairness around unequal treatment, 2) Learning about the bus boycott and peaceful protests, 3) Listening to and discussing King's "I Have a Dream" speech, 4) Learning about important events in King's life and big words he used, and 5) Writing a thank you letter to King for his actions and what they have learned from him.
