Introduction Like all human beings, the needs of persons with disability cut across all sectors. Majority of the children, youth and adults with disability continue to be excluded from society due to their impairments or conditions. How can a child with disability who did not go to school because of inadequate transport, inaccessible school buildings, no place in the classroom adjusted to their needs, no space in special schools, no training and jobs for special teachers, no inclusive education, no vocational training because they did not get a sufficient basic education…. GET DECENT EMPLOYMENT ONCE THEY HAVE GROWN UP? WE CAN ALL MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOWARDS CHANGING THIS SITUATION!!

We will seek to change the societal negative perception of persons with disability so that future generations will accept them as equal participants in our society and generally embrace human diversity. c) Beneficiaries of FOTD The specific beneficiaries of the activities carried out by Friends of the Disabled are institutions for persons with disability as well as deserving individuals. The foundation is guided and based on the values that we place on all areas of life, especially education which potentially leads to employment , better life, self reliance and fulfillment.
