1. Gulu, Uganda
June 28-August 25, 2011
The War in
Uganda has
drastically
changed the lives
of many young
men and women.
2. These precious kids were abducted in their sleep
and forced to kill the innocent. They were led by
terrorist Joseph Kony, commander of the rebel
“Lord’s Resistance Army”.
“In my anguish I
cried to the
LORD, and He
answered by
setting me free.”
Psalm 118:5 NIV
3. With prayer and God’s direction, a ministry called
“Soldiers of Christ” was born, and exists to:
Bring the Gospel of Christ to the hurting
recovered children, who are now young adults
Rehabilitate them through teaching them God’s
abounding grace and mercy
Educate and disciple them
Work with their children
Teach English, Bible and Tailoring to the
women
4. God said go…
How, then, can they call on
the one they have not believed
in? And how can they believe
in the one of whom they have
not heard? And how can they
hear without someone
preaching to them? And how
can anyone preach unless they
are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of
those who bring good news!”
Romans 10:14-15
Our passion is to know God and to make
Him known!
5. What we need to get there…
Prayer Support:
1) to combat spiritual warfare
2) to ready the hearts of those we’ll be ministering to
3) to set free the hearts of those who have committed atrocities
4) for continued unity among our team members
5) for the Holy Spirit’s guidance and wisdom as we counsel
Financial Support:
We are asking 100 families to partner with us and make a
one time pledge of 100 dollars.
Any contribution will be a blessing!
There are also needs among the field workers which include:
Sound equipment, Bibles, generators and a key board
Additional finances for our team members would be greatly used and appreciated!
6. Please know that your gifts will reap an
eternal reward, and lives will be
changed because of your generosity!
“Store your treasures
in heaven, where
moths and rust
cannot destroy, and
thieves do not break
in and steal.
Wherever your
treasure is there the
desires of your heart
will also be.”
Matthew 6:20-22 NLT Team Uganda
