This document provides instructions for an assignment on typeface artists. Students will complete a second artist study on a typeface artist of their choice. They should include information about the artist, images from their work, their own opinion on the work, and an original transcription. The document provides examples of typographic portrait artists and ideas for how to do the transcription, such as drawings, printouts to trace over, collages, or cutting and pasting words. Students should upload their work to Google Classroom for feedback.
2. This term, we will be working on a
Graphics brief, called âTypefaceâ,
which will be a great addition to your
coursework portfolioâs.
While we are working remotely, I will set tasks
which you must complete at home, and then like before,
I will give you time in class to print work and mount it
up as part of your next coursework assessment.
For now, so that I can track your progress, I will set up
Assignments on Google Classroom, where you can upload
your work, and I can feedback to you and input âpositivesâ
onto the system.
