Firstly I would like to introduce myself to you.

Occupation : higher Recorder officer in haramaya university.
Presently I am at the graduated in Bsc statistics at haramaya university . But I cannot continue
my Msc degree in Biostatistics or Econometrics., Economics. because my family cannot
support me. Actually I come from poor family.
I found your website and your email in my country . The purpose of my visiting you is I would
like to submit my proposal to you. On the proposal I attached my Academic Transcription from
the university, Technical High School Certificate, and my Passport. Here is my proposal, and I
am sorry with my English.
PROPOSAL
My country is Ethiopia . Ethiopia is a country in the horn of Africa. we just got our

2. independence. Therefore this country needs many developments in many areas and
departments, such as statisticians, engineering area, economically, technological, social,
health, education political, tourism, agriculture etc. Throughout all departments above, this
country can get its development and can grow up as well like another country. One of the
important department is Biostatistics/Econometrics. So I will prefer to
Biostatistics/Econometrics area because Biostatistics/Econometrics/ Economics is
the discipline and profession of applying technical and scientific knowledge and utilizing
natural laws and physical resources in order to solve and.
implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems, and processes that realize a
desired objective and meet specified criteria “The creative application of scientific principles to
design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works
utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full
cognizance of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions;
all as respects an intended function, economics of operation and safety to life and property.”
One who practices engineering is called a statisticians, and those licensed to do so may have
more formal designations such as Professional statistician. encompasses a range of more
specialized sub disciplines, each with a more specific emphasis on certain fields of application
and particular areas of technology.
Biostatistics/Econometrics/ Economics is also the practical application of science and math to
solve problems, and it is everywhere in the world around us. From the start to the end of each
day, statisticians technologies improve the ways that we communicate, work, travel, stay

3. healthy, and entertain ourselves.
Biostatistics/Econometrics/ Economics are problem-solvers who want to make things work
more efficiently and quickly and less expensively. From computer chips and satellites to
medical devices and renewable energy technologies, statisticians makes our modern life
possible. In particular statisticians have a wide range of study options and career paths that
let them design, build, and manage those ideas into reality.
The contribution of statistician to the country is on the plan /fix of innovative technologies to
reduce poverty, promote sustainable development and address other United Nations
Millennium Development Goals, in such fields as Death rate, Birth rate, Migration , fertility rate,
emigration, sanitation, waste management, use of natural resources, medical care, nutrition,
housing, hygiene, disaster protection, mobility, communication and climate change - a key
concern of the statistician.
As a citizen of this country I need to contribute myself to develop this country with the skills
and knowledge that I gained during I was in . But the skill that I have recently is not enough
and very limit. I am coming to your presence just to ask your help and support in order for me
to continue my study to the next Mcs because my family could not support me any more. As I
told you that I come from poor family. I believe that after I graduated from university I will
learn and gain more knowledge and skills.
Since I was a child I have dreamt to become an engineer in civil construction area. But then I
do not prove yet it because my family could not support me anymore. Therefore if I could get
any possibility from your agency I would like to prove it soon as possible.

4. In conclusion I am very interest to become an engineer in one day in order for me can develop
my new country. If I could get any support from you, actually I would like to transfer to
Ethiopian country as well. Because in my country specially in the college that I belong to
during two years, we did not have any practicalities equipments, laboratory practicality, and
library or we can say incompletely of facilities etc.
My planning forward is I would like to continue my study across to Ethiopia country at
haramaya University in Ethiopia as soon as possible. The reason why I chose to seeking
knowledge there, because there has complete facilities, such as: equipment tools for
practicality. I believe that when I finish my study over I will bring more knowledge and skills
that I gained to my country. And in the same time I can contribute myself to develop this
country.
In my request I have putted amount money. These money I will use it to pay the university,
rent house, food, buying books, transportation from my country to and to treat also the
documents that needed and etc.
BUDGET PLANING
Ø Treat my documents such as: Passport and Visa amount = USD $ 220
Ø Transportation amount = USD $ 600
Ø Transfer (University Registration) = USD $ 4,500
Ø Rent House US $ 50,00/month X 36 months (3Years) = USD $ 1,800
Ø Payment per semester US $ 200,00/semester X 6 semesters = USD $ 1,200
Ø Research Practicality in the last two semesters = USD $ 4,500

5. Ø Final Graduation from the University = USD $ 26,800-$9,000=17,800
Ø Food, transportation, Photocopy and etc per month 75,00x36 months= USD $ 2,700
Ø Transportation for coming back from home place = USD $ 300,00
TOTAL = USD $ 26,800+$6,820=$33,620.00
In word amount (THIRTY THREE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS)
