Send home BYOT procedures and documents for
parental permission
Host an information session with parents
Make sure parents understand that the students are
responsible for the devices – Not the School!
5. Classroom Strategies
How will you take care of the technology?
Develop rules and procedures for how the devices
will be used in the classroom
Is it alright is students use each other’s gadgets?
How will student know when it is time to “power
down” their devices?
Always lock the classroom when leaving devices
inside

Be sure to have students bring devices and
test the connectivity and the functionality of
apps and other programs before the actual
lesson
