3. About the programme
We are almost done with the transition to a new EURAXESS portal platform; congrats to everyone for
the amazing job done in past months! Now, we believe its time to expand the portal checklist by taking
a deep look at the content we created, check what’s there and what’s not, see what we can do to
improve the way it looks and feels.
Information Architecture
In the recent analysis of the national portals, we have found more than 270 different types of
information, published in some of the Information&assistance sections of the national portals. Should
we reshuffle them, which of those are mandatory, which are important/non-relevant, how to publish
those by using components – we are going to ask these and more questions and try to get to the answers
together.
The main objective of the training is to help EURAXESS portal administrators to engineer/re-engineer
the existing information architecture in order to provide better structure, corresponding to the default
content architecture, as implemented in the recently developed EURAXESS portals platform. This,
better structure aims at facilitating better accessibility and clarity of the existing content and a
framework for the future content improvements (additions). The training will provide a theoretical
introduction to the field of Information Architecture. Then, it will implement an analysis of the existing
content, published on the national EURAXESS portals (main content providers of the Information &
Assistance section content).
The session will be implemented by Milan Zdravković (University of Niš) and Dimitris Kokorogiannis
(Intrasoft).
Digital marketing
Facebook is a vast social media platform that eats peoples' time and creates addiction. It is also a place
where people get together, communicate, search for a specific information, event to attend, or an
organization/institution/brand to address... Researchers - our main target audience, are there too but are
we talking to them? Facebook advertising provides immense possibilities for reaching them directly. In
this lecture we will go through the basics, tips & tricks and practical advices on how to target
researchers trough Facebook ads, and motivate them to visit and actively use EURAXESS national
portals and all the offered services.
The session will be implemented by the external trainer: Ms. Jelena Ožegović, marketing and
communications associate at the Serbian national internet domain registry Foundation (RNIDS).
Since 2014, Jelena is finding ways to target and reach specific audiences using social media,
advertising and various online channels, by working as a marketing and communications associate at
the Serbian national internet domain registry Foundation (RNIDS). Before that, she was working in
public relations for the non-profit sector and as a journalist, starting her career in 2009 after graduating
at the Faculty of political sciences at the Belgrade University. She is also active in outreach programs
within the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). She authored the
guidebook for promotion of educational profiles in high schools.
4. Registration
Registration tool is published at EURAXESS Extranet and is available here:
https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/node/210578 (you have to be logged in to Extranet in order to open the
page). Deadline for registration is May, 31st
, 2017 (EXTENDED DEADLINE). Maximum number of
participants is 50. Typically, one participant per country is invited to register. Free seats will be
distributed after the registration process, per request.
After you register and book your flights, we would be grateful if you could fill the “logistics” form
https://goo.gl/forms/6CKPBtOl6BwfxuMI2. We need some information about your arrival and other
stuff.
From airport to hotel and back
The simplest way to reach the hotel is to use taxi. Find instructions for grabbing a taxi from Belgrade
airport, here: http://www.beg.aero/en/strana/8871/from-belgrade-airport. The price is fixed at 1.800,00
RSD, payable only in cache (EUR is not accepted). Uber is not present in Belgrade.
We are considering offering assistance in transfer from the airport. It would help us a lot if you could
indicate your arrival time on the logistics form, as soon as you book your tickets:
https://goo.gl/forms/6CKPBtOl6BwfxuMI2. Tick a box there if you want to share your arrival time
with the other participants (for sharing a taxi or grabbing a quick drink at the airport).
Public transport option is also available, for adventurous travelers. Take A1 bus (departing from the
arrivals hall exit) to Main train station (“Žel. Stanica”, see map here:
http://www.beg.aero/upload/a1_map_&_timetable.pdf). One way costs 300,00 RSD. Then, take tram
no. 12 (direction Omladinski stadion) to Novo groblje station, then walk 200 m (see below) to Hotel
Zira. Before you get into the tram, buy single use ticket at the kiosk in front of the Main train station
(90,00 RSD)
Figure 1. Walk from Novo groblje tram station to Hotel Zira
If you arrive by car, park it at the secured parking of Hotel Zira. The price is 1.000,00 RSD or 9 EUR
per day.
5. Instructions for joining dinner
Dinner will take place at Lorenzo & Kakalamba restaurant. Find more details about the place here:
http://www.lk.rs/en/. The restaurant is quite close to the hotel. See the map with instructions on how to
reach it, below.
If you have any specific dietary preferences, please share it with us on the logistics form:
