Compound Microscope Use
1.Make Sure The Microscope is on low power.

  2.Get a microscope slide.

  3.Put the slide on the
  stage.
Compound Microscope Use
4.Turn on the microscope.

5.Use the coarse and fine adjustment
knobs to focus.

6.Turn the nosepiece to medium power.

6.Use the fine and coarse adjustment knobs to focus

8.Turn the nosepiece to
high power

 9.Only use the fine adjustment
 knob to focus.
Compound Microscope Use
10.Turn the nosepiece back to low
   power.

11.Take the slide off the stage.

12.Turn off the microscope and
wrap the cord around the base.
Microscope Magnification
Microscope Magnification is found by multiplying
the magnification of the eyepiece (10) and the
  magnification of the objectives (4,10,and
40).Here is a chart showing all of the
  magnifications: Total
  Name
         Eyepiece X Objective = Magnification
Low 10 X 4 = 40
Medium 10 X 10 = 100

High 10 X 40 = 400
