Saludos!
May is going to be one amazing month for Ocean Drive en Español. As some of you may
remember, May marks four years since this glossy, upscale, Spanish-language magazine
first appeared in 2001 featuring a stunning Gloria Estefan cover shot by David LaChapelle.
Since then the book has grown and experienced tremendous success—with 2004-2005 showing
the biggest boost ever!
To celebrate, we are doing some fabulous events and promotions in May, like our first ever Golf
Experience benefiting Amigos for Kids and presented by Mercedes-Benz, on May 14th at the
Doral Blue Monster, an Official PGA Course. Afterwards, we will celebrate in style with one of our
legendary Anniversary Parties.
Together these events will garner media exposure both locally and nationally and will catapult our
May Issue—and your advertisement—into the spotlight. Take advantage of our own promotion
and marketing efforts and capitalize on the increased circulation and exposure of this
fabulous issue.
Deadline for ads and artwork is April 16th (no exceptions!) so call us soon to reserve the best
placement possible.
Also, don’t forget that June is our POWER month. Powerful people, places and products are
showcased in our highly anticipated Power Issue and Power Party.

Mercedes, Chivas Regal, Tommy Bahama, Tiffany & Co., Cole Haan, General Motors, Gucci, Louis Vuitton...
What do these brands have in common? They all advertise in Ocean Drive en Español!
Dewar’s 12, Hummer, Sergio Rossi, Jack Daniels, David Yurman, Fendi
What do these brands have in common? They understand the strength of the Hispanic Market - they
advertise in Ocean Drive en Español.
Not everyone understands the growth and power of the Hispanic market... but the companies who
do their homework and are consistently ahead of the game do. What are you waiting for?
These companies know that the Hispanic Market is influencing the general market and an ever-growing
rate. And with almost 70% of its population being Hispanic, South Florida is at the center of this
Latin movement.
People who live in or have visited South Florida understand how powerful the Hispanic market is here—
and how this market influences other ones. Trends start here but they don’t stay contained here for
long. Because South Florida is a nexus for Hispanics and Latin Americans of all backgrounds (not just
one or two countries), trends quickly extend and multiply all over, even overseas to Puerto Rico, Spain,
Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina and many other too-numerous-to-list countries.
Studies have even shown that dollars spent in this market
are more profitable than those spent in the general market!
Because the Hispanic market has been ignored, they are less “saturated” with marketing than the general
market and are actually more likely to be influenced by advertising. Moreover, once you’ve gained their
business, they’ve also proven to be more brand-loyal than the general market. You will reach this
influential market through us.
For the 4th year in a row, Ocean Drive en Español brings you the music industry’s coolest people and
trends in its annual September Music Special—one of our most popular issues of the year. On the
cover: rock sensation and nine-time Grammy winner Juanes—the hottest thing in Latin Music
since Ricky Martin. And inside, in true Ocean Drive en Español fashion, we’ve got everything else
that’s hip and happening.
As if that weren’t enough, all 2004 Latin Grammy Nominees will see the September Issue because
Ocean Drive en Español will be in every single Nominee Gift Basket on September 1st. The
opportunity to reach these celebrities, producers and music industry leaders along with South
Florida’s premier trendsetters is priceless.
Call me or call your Account Executive before August 2nd to reserve a spot in this issue.
Saludos,
Could there be a more high-profile Latin celebrity than Jennifer Lopez? We think not. That’s why she
will grace our cover this April, making it one of the most sought-after and fabulous issues in the history of
Ocean Drive en Español!
And that’s not the only good reason to get involved with us this month... The Latin Billboard Awards are
coming to town on April 28th and Ocean Drive en Español is getting ready to celebrate! Our large format,
glossy publication will be right where the visiting trendsetters shop, party, eat and relax. Deadline is this
Friday, March 11th.
And don’t forget that right now we’re planning our biggest event of the year: The Ocean Drive en Español
Golf Experience and 4th Anniversary Celebration on May 14th. Take advantage of these events to
target the upscale, affluent consumers that influence everyone around them. These events are the ultimate
in interactive marketing; you’re limited only by your imagination. Sponsorships range from $9,000 to
$32,000 and if we don’t yet have what you need, we’ll create it for you.
Finally, the June we will once again look at POWER. Powerful people, places and products are
showcased in our highly anticipated Power Issue and Power Party.
Call us anytime and let us help you reach this influential group of buyers. More than any other lifestyle
publication, we understand the growing and influential Hispanic market. Our clients include Mercedes,
Chivas, Louis Vuitton, Hummer, Elini, Gucci, Christian Dior, Jimmy Choo, Cartier, Esprit, Harmont &
Blaine, Ford, Lancome, Calvin Klein, Tiffany & Co., Budweiser, Bermuda Tourism, Prada, Movado,
and Hennessy, among others.

December is the month during which the most international travelers arrive to South Florida. Last year, over
one million visitors from all over the world (mostly Latin America) came to the Port of Miami and Miami International
Airport. Target affluent Latin Americans as they arrive en masse to shop for the holidays and use Ocean Drive en
Español as the ultimate lifestyle guide.
Whether they receive it in the mail, pick it up at South Florida’s most upscale boutiques, thumb through it at the
dermatologist’s office or buy it at airport newsstands worldwide... Elite Hispanics and Latin Americans look to
Ocean Drive en Español for what’s in style, who’s wearing/buying/using it and where to find it. Showcase your
brand to this trendsetting and exclusive market in the pages of Ocean Drive en Español.
Call or email by November 2nd to participate in our Special Gift Guide Advertorial Section. For even greater
impact, run a spread or talk to us about the various other unique ways we can promote your brand in this blockbuster
