How to Interview

  1. Never, ever wear ripped jeans to an interview. Flip flops don’t cut it either. In health care, we have not moved people on to interview with the hiring manager if they are not dressed appropriately-that means jeans in a hospital setting.
  2. No droopy drawers. TMI!
  3. Tattoos may work for celebs-unless you are interviewing at a tattoo parlor, cover them if you have them.
  4. Well-groomed-no spray art on the nails. Take a shower the morning of your interview-clean hair, fingernails, clean shaven or a nicely groomed beard/mustache.
  5. Depending on the position, you may want to wear a sport jacket. A shirt and tie may also be appropriate. No hats!
