The document provides examples of camera angles, effects, props, clothing, and instruments from music videos to create a mood board. Close ups, blurs, overhead and wide-angle shots are shown to represent different genres and set the theme. Props can include instruments that are crucial to the video or part of the clothing to represent a genre like rock or dubstep through the use of guitars or computer beats.
1. The images are captured from music videos to
create a mood board.
You can see different camera angles and
effects. For example close ups and blurs of
different things in the background or focus on
one particular thing at a time which is a effect
which is used a lot in music videos general in
different types of Genre.
You will also be able to see what they wear to
represent the mood/theme of the video at
hand.
2.
3. The Camera angles really add to the theme of the Video. For example, if it’s a fast quick
paced song, The camera will cut to act as if the action on the footage is “speeded up”
to certain key points.
I’ve chosen these images as they are an excellent example of Camera Angles, you can
see some overhead and some wide-angle shots to even close ups of a person or an
object the camera wants to focus on.
4.
5. I’ve chosen these images as it sets a good example of some of the props that are used
in music videos. Some props are actual instruments that are used through out the
video making them somewhat crucial. Props could be anything and they also could be
apart of the clothing too. Example the goggles are actually made out of cardboard and
gives you the feeling of Steampunk.
6.
7. On these images, you can see that the different instruments represent a genre. Like
the Guitars for example, they represent acoustic or Rock.
It’s really dependent on the instruments to categorise genre. Example, Dubstep is
made with computer beats and Rock is made with Various instruments and you see
this clearly in the images.
