About Us
    MiCA Qatar is a private consulting firm specializing in project management and
    construction management consultancy, and project management technical support
    services. MiCA Qatar was established in Qatar in 2006 as a member within Al-
    Hashemi Family Group. The company has previously worked in the Middle East under
    the name of “Co-Design” and “Primatech.” The latter was the sole representative of
    Primavera Inc. in Egypt, Sudan and North Africa. All in all, the experience of MiCA
    extends over the last 23 years in project and construction management market in the
    Middle East (Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia).

    MiCA Qatar is a fast growing company with a stable history and proven success. With
    a team of partners in diversified disciplines; MiCA Qatar could form professional
    teams to effectively meet personal needs and requirements of medium or large
    projects. We do what it takes to help our customers meet the demands of the present

             and Project Management Systems (O&PM) with IT Solutions

    Scope of Work
             Full Implementation of O&PM with IT solution for the core Businesses of Ashghal and
             its departments with100 accounts and more than 500 users. The system should
             include licenses installation and customization, system administration, and operating
             project management principles, practices, methodologies, tools and techniques. The
             system should use the newly developed business processes in addition to developing
             and upgrading O&PM system that will be compatible with and supporting future
             applications of relevant ISO certification through the following main responsibilities:
             •      Develop Database Structure and install new software systems (Primavera P6
                    and Expedition V.11) for all selected Ashghal users
             •      Develop four Databases: One for PWA (Ashghal corporate), one for Training,
                    and two Databases for Building and Infrastructure Affairs
             •      Establish and develop customized PWA Databases
             •      Monitor and support the implementation of all processes on relevant activities in
                    projects and corporate
             •      Implement and support the development of Engineering Business Support units
                    embedded within Affairs
             •      Support and follow-up the timely issue of Reports and KPI and monitor projects’
                    progress as well as the performance of different departments
             •      Prepare and conduct Internal Audits along with PWA internal auditors
             •      Support central EBS department in implementing its activities related to O&PM
                    System
             •      Support PWA top management in establishing continual improvement
                    benchmarks and performance goals analysis
             •      Provide technical support for all users of O&PM system and its IT solution at the
                    levels of projects, departments and affairs
             •      Study, analyze, propose and prepare items required to continually improve the
                    O&PM system
             •      Provide basic and on job and training for PWA staff and ensure gradual transfer
                    of ownership of the O&PM system implementation

Kahramaa (KM) 

    Objectives
          •      Establish and implement a Document Management System for the
                 business processes of four Departments: Water Laboratory, Human
                 Resources, Information Technology and Customer Services
          •      Prepare and qualify the Electricity Network Planning and Electricity Network
                 Transmission Departments for ISO 9001 Certification

    Duties
          •      Start with an extensive diagnostic survey for each targeted department;
          •      Prepare a detailed report of proposed documentation hierarchy to cover all
                 aspects of business process and get it approved by KM at the beginning;
          •      Prepare Documentation for each targeted department in accordance with
                 KM Quality Management System documentation standard;
          •      Insure that the prepared Documentation for the business processes of the
                 four Departments shall be in comprehensible English, and shall include -
                 but not limited to - policies, procedures, work instructions, standards, code
                 of practices and guidelines with their associated forms and checklists;
          •      Identify improvements to existing practices of KM and recommend changes
                 of resources with estimates for implementation. Where improvements can
                 be easily and quickly implemented, they should be agreed by users and
                 included in the procedures;
          •      All deliverables of the prepared Documentation shall be accepted by user
                 managers in each business process and Internal Audit and Quality
                 Assurance (IAQA). Deliverables shall include soft copies using Microsoft
                 Office suite. Other software must have prior approval from IAQA; and
          •      Provide training to users on the drafted documentation to ensure effective
                 implementation of each document.

Kahramaa (KM)  Objectives • Establish and implement a Document Management System for the business processes of four Departments: Water Laboratory, Human Resources, Information Technology and Customer Services • Prepare and qualify the Electricity Network Planning and Electricity Network Transmission Departments for ISO 9001 Certification Duties • Start with an extensive diagnostic survey for each targeted department; • Prepare a detailed report of proposed documentation hierarchy to cover all aspects of business process and get it approved by KM at the beginning; • Prepare Documentation for each targeted department in accordance with KM Quality Management System documentation standard; • Insure that the prepared Documentation for the business processes of the four Departments shall be in comprehensible English, and shall include - but not limited to - policies, procedures, work instructions, standards, code of practices and guidelines with their associated forms and checklists; • Identify improvements to existing practices of KM and recommend changes of resources with estimates for implementation. Where improvements can be easily and quickly implemented, they should be agreed by users and included in the procedures; • All deliverables of the prepared Documentation shall be accepted by user managers in each business process and Internal Audit and Quality Assurance (IAQA). Deliverables shall include soft copies using Microsoft Office suite. Other software must have prior approval from IAQA; and • Provide training to users on the drafted documentation to ensure effective implementation of each document.
