6. Yarra Libraries – a snapshot:
• We welcome over 1400 people to branches each day
• Five Branch Libraries: Richmond, Collingwood , Fitzroy, North
Fitzroy and Carlton
• Our sixth branch - virtual library @ www.yarracity.vic.gov.au/library
providing 24 hour access
In 2010/11, Yarra Libraries:
• Welcomed over 558,597 people to branches
• Had 48,731 members
• Loaned 930,223items
• Answered 69,897reference enquiries
• Had 65,328 PC bookings
7. We achieve this by:
Providing collections in many formats, increasingly both print
and electronic, in many languages
Offering the advice and support that people need to access
information using electronic and print resources
Inspiring a love of reading and learning, and
Making our five libraries welcoming and stimulating
neighbourhood spaces where people can connect locally and
globally

•An addition of 24,000 items to the collection this year
including 3500 items for CALD communities
