Tim Rogers is a Business Professor at Ozarks Technical College in Springfield, MO. He has worked in several industries, including the airline industry as an operations supervisor for United and Northwest Airlines. He also started two small businesses and worked as a stockbroker. His educational background includes a BBA in Marketing and an MBA. He teaches courses in business and management and led a study abroad program to Europe. He resides in Springfield with his wife and two daughters and enjoys hobbies like flying, traveling, and classic cars.

2. Presenter: Tim Rogers
I am a Business Professor at Ozarks Technical College in Springfield, MO. Prior to teaching I worked in
several different industries. The first part of my career was spent in the airline industry. I worked for
United Airlines for a number of years as an operations supervisor, and then I spent several years with
Northwest Airlines and Delta Airlines in a similar capacity. I also have started and operated two small
businesses, one in Internet wholesaling and another in baggage/cargo delivery for the airline industry.
The last part of my non-academic career was spent as a Stockbroker / Financial Advisor with Edward
Jones Investments. I have an undergraduate degree, B.B.A., in Marketing from Evangel University in
Springfield, MO, and an M.B.A. from the University of North Dakota (which was recently named one of the
top ten universities for Entrepreneurship by the Princeton Review, and is the top rated NCAA hockey
team in the country).
I have a strong interest in the airline industry, and that influenced my decision to write strategic
management case studies in that field. In 2002, my strategic management case study of United Airlines
was published in the North American Case Research Association Journal (NACRA). My course load at
the College includes: Principles of Business (traditional and online), Principles of Management (traditional
and online), and Strategic Management (traditional and online), Personal Finance, and I am also currently
scheduled to lead a study-abroad course to Europe.
I currently reside in Springfield, MO, with my wife and my two beautiful daughters (7 years old, and 4
years old). My hobbies include flying, traveling, cultural and religious studies, home construction, and
classic car restoration, and Harvardx courses.
