Have the audience NAME ALL kinds of water sports they can think of = engage them!! ONLY one we Do Not Do is parasailing = dangerous.* Drop names!!! Tell them Boeing just had their $24 million dollar boat there for 4 months. Bill Gates was there but his boat was a bit to big for the marina – boat we see is about the size of his ship to shore boat! So… we are building a larger marina just to accommodate larger yachrts due to the demand!* New marina is further up the fresh water lagoon. Groups having FUN!
* BEST deep sea fishing in Mexico. Largest marlin (sail fish) ever caught was right off the coast here.* Tournament is in November and February.* BEST deep sea fishing in Mexico. Largest marlin (sail fish) ever caught was right off the coast here.* Tournament is in November and February.* If not busy Chef has been known to cook up a fish that a guest has just caught in La Plazuela Café!
Outdoor Adventure. I Do Not Like this photo because I think it is a bad representation of being ecologically and environmentally appropriate. So I say that and explain..* We Do Not Do This at our beach! We have a natural Turtle preserve on Bara and near us and the turtles nest on our beach so we don’t condone this. We Can arrange (at the correct time of year) for some guests/groups to work with a conservationist to help collect the eggs and take them to the sanctuary where they help them hatch and then reintroduce them to the sea.
* Tell them about the Iguana preserve in Bara and overall preservation of the environment and area flora and fauna. We support that!
Magnificence! What we look like and always will!
Thank them! Any questions? Misc. Notes:* Grand Bay has received the #1 or #2 position for Guest Satisfaction Scores in ALL of Wyndham for the Entire time we have been with them!* We have an 85% Repeat Guest factor. Once they find and experience us, they come back!* Hurricanes: The “worst” thing that has happened in the 10 years was that the airport was closed for 30 minutes! NOTE: Airport landing goes along beach so absolutely NO protection from the ocean. Hotel is protected by the mountains because is “nestled” against them.* Due to our location a bit inland most storms are at least 60 miles out to sea. Unfortunately Cabo is a peninsula which sticks out so can get hit more than other locations along the Pacific Coast.Safety: * No robberies at the hotel since opening. Most of the staff has worked there for almost the entire 10 years we have been open.* Many of the staff live in Bara = 3rd generation Mexicans so ALL know each other. Are related.* City is the “safest” one in ALL of mexico – this is documented.
