Gumiimpex was founded in 1970 as an independent tire repair shop in Croatia. It has since expanded to produce various rubber and polyurethane products using advanced technologies like Seal Jet and Gasket Jet systems. The company now operates out of a 4,800 square meter facility and was certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards in 2004. A new subsidiary, GRP, was founded in 2005 to specialize in tire recycling and production of goods from recycled tire granulates.
3. HISTORY 1970. Foundation of independent tire-repair shop and manufacture of rubber based technical item, in a rented place in the city center (Kurelčeva Street) 1975. Opening of own business premises in Kukuljevićeva Street. Expansion of production of rubber based technical items and services 1989 .Development of business activities resulted in the necessity of larger space. Investments were made into land and new business and production facilities in the city East Industrial Zone 1990. 27 March – the Gumiimpex Company was founded 5 April – Registration in the Court Register of the Varaždin Commercial Court 1993. The Company facilities moved to a new location, the today’s seat in the Pavleka Miškine Street. Implementation of the new technology: - GASKET JET system for production of joint gaskets - SEAL JET system of sealing material production
4. HISTORY 2001. NEW INFORMATION SYSTEM with support equipment and program application introduced 2003. Completion of the new plant, warehouse, a shop and offices facilitated with the cutting edge technology on a total area of 4,800 m2. Equipment for Inteferiometry purchased to retread tires in the full cycle up to the final control of the retreaded tire. 2004. Certified in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 International Quality Management and Environment Management Standards 2005 . Foundation of the new company GRP

7. RUBBER BASED TECHNICAL ITEMS Wide range of different shapes and dimensions: - bumpers, 60 dimensions, 5 different shapes - elastic clutch couplings, star-shaped - safety ''foldings'' - rubber reinforced membranes - free-flowing valve coupling from NO 15 to NO 250 - rubber O-rings - elastic rubber couplings ("periphlex") - coupling and seals for concrete, PVC and iron pipes for drinking water and waste-water - rubber vacuum pumps - rubber rotors for free-flowing pumps - selenium blocks
8. RUBBER HOSES - rubber hoses diameters from ø20 to ø300 mm - reinforced with linens, with netting of engineering plastics (polyamides), with metal spirals, or with metal segments - straight or distorted (in one strand or multiple strands) - ends of hoses which are fixed by clamps are without metal spirals to get correct tightening - hoses with vulcanized metal clamps, particularly hoses on machines for taking out pebbles

10. SEALING PRODUCTS of the S EAL JET Technology System Manufacture of seals using the SEAL JET system represents one of the most sophisticated technologies in the world. Preparation and manufacture use the "ECONOMOS" cutting edge computerized equipment "NG 40". Over 150 preprogrammed profiles with 17 types of standard materials for manufacturing of seals comply with sealing requirements in 0 - 700 bar pressure systems. Sealing materials include and cover all media in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and temperatures from -200oC to +260oC. SEAL JET system enables seals to be manufactured and delivered in the shortest possible time i.e. less then 1 hour.
11. JOINT GASKETS of GASKET JET technology system - Manufacture of 2000x1500 mm surface seals possible in chambers for non-metal seals - Metal seals, for example reinforced klingerit, can be manufactured in 1000x800 mm sized pieces, and bigger pieces can be manufactured in several parts - Drawings/plans of manufactured seals can be stored in computer memory for repeat production
12. JOINT GASKETS of GASKET JET technology system GASKET JET (WATER JET ) is a highly sophisticated process for flat gasket manufacture, characterized by high accuracy and top quality. After defining the gasket form, based on samples or drawings (AUTO CAD), the GASKET JET system cuts gaskets with its water jet just a little thicker than a human hair. Besides traditional connection materials the water jet also cuts the hardest materials using its pressure of approx. 3,500 bars and speed which is almost triple to sound speed. The gasket, i.e. data on its form, type of material etc., may be stored in the computer memory, and the same gasket may be re-manufactured.
13. RUBBER COATING OF BIG CONTAINERS, PIPELINES, AND MEMBRANE VALVES - Rubber coating (rubberizing) of various containers (tanks) for aggressive chemicals (acids, alkaline materials) - Complete pipelines or their parts - Valve housings (membrane valves) - Basins - Vibrators for cleaning of metal hammering waste - Anion-cation exchangers - Various galvanization tubes, etc. - In larger vulcanization chamber, up to 6 meters maximum length and 3 meters in diameter - In smaller vulcanization chamber, up to 3 meters maximum length and up to 1.5 meters in diameter
14. EXTRUDED RUBBER PROFILES - Various lengths and shapes of extruded profiles manufactured according to user specifications - Materials (rubber compounds) are defined consistently with the final function of rubber profiles - For various types of seals in the electrical industry, auto industry, food industry, etc… - Except for sealing, we use the profiles for vibration smoothing, dust protection, as a heat barrier, etc…
15. RUBBER CONVEYOR BELTS - Conveyor belts for pieces or scattered (bulk) cargo are made for a large number of uses in various conditions - Well defined company characteristics for each belt is a precondition for its efficient use from the aspect of power - elastic durability, number of inserts (canvases), thickness of rubber layers, layer characteristics and characteristics of rubber coating for resistance to temperatures and aggressive media, for pulling cargo at certain angles (elevator belt) - Connecting conveyor belts may function the ''hot way", where the rubber is melted and connected, or the ''cold way", where the belt layers are separated and connected - Installation of conveyor belts is also possible in user factories or shops - Our professional road team can fix all defects and prevent longer work stoppages
16.
17. FLAT INDUSTRIAL BELTS (EXTREMULTUS) - For ascertaining the type of appropriate belt, one needs to determine the strength of the motor, number of revolutions and the diameter of the pulley - Belts are made as perpetually connected, readied for connecting or open - Flat multi-layered belts are made for elastic transport of up to 5000 KW force and for speed of up to 100m/sec - Belts made from the combination of natural and artificial materials are suited for transportation of greater force, and are resistant to oils and other aggressive elements - Belts made from artificial materials are suited for transports with high number of revs and present humidity
18. POLYURETHANE - Polyurethane is a high-quality artificial material (elastomer) which ''replaces'' rubber - Very good physical and technical characteristics: hardness and toughness, discontinued elongation, reflective elasticity, high resistance to wear - Excellent chemical characteristics – stability with regards to hydrolysis and aging, resistance to micro-organisms, diluted acids and bases - hardness 70-94 Sh, A scale
20. OUR PARTNERS - Croatian national oil industry (INA – Industrija nafte) is in top 5 of our partners - We produce more then 250 different articles for oil industry - over 30 years of experience in rubber business
21. CERTIFICATES 2 November, 2004 Certified ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Standard Certified ISO 14001:2004 Environment Management Standard ISO 9001:2000 is universally accepted international quality management standard.
