1. What the preliminary task taught
me was that to make a film a
thriller production you have to use
subtle things that create a bug
effect i.e. match on action made
the audience think who could that
be creating enigma which is a
connotation of a thriller film.
Also a using over the shoulder
shots create the relation
between the characters making
the audience develop what kind
of characters they are this was
useful when creating the
antagonist.
2. The way that the preliminary helped
us in our final movie product is that
we used various close ups the show
emotion and to show what a
character is feeling or their particular
thoughts at that time.
As you can see in the image at the
top the characters face is
concerned with the paper and
distributing the information the
person in front of him where as
the other characters face is more
concerned with the information
and is triggering feelings. This was
used in our movie when the
character was confused as to who
was chasing him.
3. Also we learned how to use a camera
to track characters movement so that
the audience can keep up with the
scene and have a better understand
as to what is happening in the scene.
Plus It makes the movie more
believable as they will get the sense
that they are actually there watching
their movement across the scene this
was useful in the chasing in our
movie as it made it more real for the
audience.
