2. I work in advertising and as an occupational
hazard, I tend to think about the future of things.
Of advertising.
Of culture.
Of technology.
And lately, I’ve been thinking about it a lot.
I follow some epic thinkers and bloggers. They’ve
inspired some of this. Some of it is just my muse.
Some of it comes from random conversations with
my 21 year old nerd brother. And some of it comes
from watching sci-fi movies.
If you like this and would like to know more, let’s
chat.

3. 1
HOLOGRAM RESTORATIONS
Hologram events/projections In the form of museum
performances and concerts of bands, artists, movie stars will be
held across the world and people will pay to go to these.
4. 2
LIFEOMETER
A single form of tracker that lists all of an individual’s
numbers in one place – health reports, running counts,
professional performance (work hours, projects), loyalty
cards, banking in one tracking device/application
5. 3
FUTURE HAS NO DEVICE
Programming will merge into natural surfaces diminishing
the need for additional devices. A chip or a button will
turn any surface into a computing device.
6. 4
EXPERIENTIAL TV SHOWS
People will be able to replay their favourite TV shows by
actually playing the lead in them. The web will offer extended
content which allows people to enter into the character and
play the role. Play Barney or Carrie and interact with the other
characters in the show by taking on their avatars.
7. 5
UBIQUITOUS A.I.
Siri (or its equivalent) will be more ingrained in our lives and will
be smarter. She’ll tell us if the food in the refrigerator has gone
bad, she’ll alert the CEO if she thinks he’s overworking himself.
I predict Google to build its own A.I. that’s going to trump
everything we’ve seen so far.
8. Oh, and..
DIY Tech
We’ll see more open operating systems, tools that make an
ordinary person a technology native by making technology easily
‘makeable’ and ‘changeable’, by making coding easy. I can
make an animated movie, I can create an HTML5 website in 3
easy steps (not like the one that experts make).
