 Students will be able to exhibit an understanding of
family characteristics and relationships by creating a
family tree using a combination of construction paper,
markers, and natural materials that will represent their
family dynamics.
 3rd Grade
 Estimated Time: 2-2.5 hours

 Paper (8.5 in. x 11 in.)  Small terra cotta pot
 Markers/Colored Pencils  2 packages of clay
 Pencils or Pens  Construction paper
 Hole punch
 Scissors
 Ribbon
 Markers
 Sticks
 Hot glue gun
 Glue or tape
 Materials to decorate pot
