I have heard it said that the three components to a master presentation are levity, brevity, and repetition. Let me repeat that... The three components to a master presentation are levity, brevity, and repetition. With those guiding principles I will make you the following promises.\n#1 I will not speak in technogeek terms except to demonstrate products or define processes\n#2 I will be as concise as possible giving you small pieces from several sources\n#3 I will repeat necessary information as many times as needed for it to make sense\n\nSo let me begin with the following question: (Next slide)\n
WordPress\n1. Focus on fresh, interesting content\n2. Avoid direct marketing ploys\n3. Get creative and move beyond boring company info\n4. Website dedicated to customer services. \n5. Update content without knowing HTML.  \n6. Thousands of extensions, themes, widgets and plug-ins. \n7. Encourage everyone with a great idea to participate.\n8. A blog is NOT about marketing (but good ones end up doing just that) \n9. Focus on audience and what is of value to them. \n10. Get personal, keep the writing light, and be funny where possible.\n
Cover It Live\n1. Live chat is an easy way to connect with customers in nontraditional ways.\n2. Live blog an event (career fair, conference, or meeting)\n3. Answer FAQs\n4. Solicit feedback and “KNOW” what you “THINK”\n5. Use Job Fair TV example (400 customers served by 2 staff)\n6. Create a knowledge bank (blog about hot topics) \n
Expertise and Thought Leadership\nUpload recordings of presentations you’ve given.\nLink to blog to share slides from presentations that weren’t recorded. \nCreate short videos of valuable tips of interest to your customers. \nConduct interviews with experts.\nTurn your podcasts into videos, to expand your reach. \n\nMarketing and Advertising\nSet up a channel to reflect your brand and engage with others. \nChoose a user name that reflects your brand for your channel URL. \nAdd your channel URL to marketing collateral and social network profiles. \nShow the results of someone using your services. \nPost customer video testimonials to add to your credibility. \nPut together a creative video explaining your product or service. \nShow your services in action using movie trailer-style: fast, creative and catchy. \nPromote your events using recordings of previous events. \nIntroduce your staff to add authenticity. \nTake viewers on a tour of your offices and city to help them feel connected with you. \nAsk others to use your product in their videos and cross-promote each other. \nPost links to your videos on various social networks. \nRun a contest. \nDisplay company information in every video including name, URL, phone number and email address.\n\nCustomer Service\nCreate “how to” videos to help your customers use your product or service. \nPost solutions to common product or service problems. \nAnswer customer-specific questions using videos. If you get many questions via Twitter, answer them in a youtube video. \nEmbed videos on your web site on appropriate pages, including customer support and product tours. \nPost a blog entry discussing a problem and include a video for visual support. \nImagine how surprised a customer will be when you point them to a video with the answer! \nGo the extra mile by adding closed-captions or subtitles to your videos by using CaptionTube. \nRemember that not everyone can watch or hear videos in the same way so link to a text-only transcript for blind customers. \n\n\n\n
