2. Overview Below is what I intend to cover in my final presentation: What I knew before taking this class How I FELT about the class What I expected to gain from the class, knowledge wise

3. Pre-ITP 251 In a nutshell, before taking this course, I knew less than nothing about networks, how to run or operate them, or even what they run on hardware wise

4. Initial Feelings When I started the class, I was to be quite honest, bored out of my mind The further into the class we got, the more I realized how important this information was and that it can be fun Towards the end of the class, I had a feeling of regret, that I wont be able to come back to this every Monday

5. What I wanted to Gain from ITP 251 I had hoped to gain some insight as to how the inner workings of a network system worked, and I have I also wanted to gain some insight as to how I can use this knowledge and use it in the real world even if I don’t use networking on a daily basis

6. What have I ACTUALLY Learned Terminology: The biggest hassle of any IT class is the terms Without knowing what they are, you will never succeed I can now say that I know most of the important terms and even some of the lesser terms

7. What I Learned cont. Project Management: From watching the Apprentice, I know how important the PM is Now, in IT, they are just as important Without a good PM, no group can even hope to succeed I have learned the responsibilities of the PM and how the tasks they have pertain to the real world

8. What I Learned cont. Ethically Speaking: All jobs require a certain code of ethics When working it IT, ethics are key You cannot do your job correctly without a certain code of ethics on your backs Security: All networks need security I had no idea how much until I took this class People everywhere are trying to increase their network secuity so people don’t hack the network It is up to the designers of the network to ensure that the security is top-notch

9. What I took away from the Class At this point in time, I can say that everything I learned will stay with me until I am to old to remember it Some of the most important aspect of networks were described in this class and I would be a fool to forget them This class was a key part of any IT job and should be taken by all future IT professionals

10. Ending After much deliberation on what my final slide should be, I decided to go with the cheesy thank you I would like to thank Professor Sutton for her time and knowledge, as it has helped me to better understand the wide world of network systems THANK YOU
