The transmission of data from one computer to another, or from one device to
another is called communication. Using technology in communication has become a
requirement, it’s now part of our daily lives. Besides, people nowadays communicate
through emails, faxes, mobile phones, texting services, video conferences, video chat
rooms and social media channels. Other than to provide documentation, it also

they are distance apart.
5. DISADVANTAGES OF IT IN COMMUNICATION
1. Lack of personal interaction:
IT provide users with video meeting for example, Video meeting can be less
personal than meeting face to face, and it can be possible to miss out on vital
body language when you’re struggling with a pixelated image or stuttering
video.
2.Technical problems:
The connection may be interrupted by the weathers , coverages or something
else.
3. High cost of setup:
To ensure that the connection and coverage are in good condition , there
something that have to be done such as the set up which is highly costed.
6. IMPACT FROM THE REAL CASE STUDY
Case study : E-conferencing that enable people to meet and have real-time interactions
virtually that usually involves features such as audio and video, chat tools, and
application sharing.
•Travel cost reduction - Travel cost can be reduced whenever there is a conference
between company or members from other country which they do not have to go abroad
to do the conference.
•Lifelike in-person experience - users perceive similar experience to that in a personal
encounter, even eye-to-eye contacts. It is capable of life-sized, high definition and
dynamic video representations.
•Improve productivity - The ability to meet people easily despite the geographical
diversity enables more frequent and timely meetings.
•Facilitate group decision making - facilitates quicker decision-making and
brainstorming sessions. People appear to be less reluctant to present ideas where there is
a veil of technology between them.
7. •Information restore - the meetings carried by e-conferencing can be recorded and
presented to non-participants, or stored for future retrieval, later podcasts,
webcasts and training, or to comply with transparency legislation.
•Implementing and maintaining cost - It requires high maintaining cost, such as the
cost of installing multiple high-end dedicated Telepresence facilities was $250,000 to
$500,000 per room and $35,000 per month for management services.
•Lack of deep personal interaction - They are not able to accomplish the social
interaction between people after a physical face-to-face meeting that is helpful for
building a deeper personal relationship.
•Bandwidth issue, security issue and instability - There are two main types of video
conferencing systems: group and personal systems, the former which require high-
quality devices, better technique support and relative greater bandwidth to offer
the highest quality video experience. Modern e-conferences are largely carried
through Internet, making information security issues an inevitable problem.
8. FUTURE OR CHALLENGES OF SKYPE
APPLICATION
New version of Skype coming to HoloLens, which will let users project video calls on a virtual
display in front of them, and show people on the other end of the call what they’re looking at.
Making the video feature much more convenient and touch friendly.
Upgrade that conversation to a voice or video call. Our aim is to make the experience and design of
our apps as consistent as possible, while still respecting each device’s unique look and feel
comfortable
Microsoft is working on improving and adding a few new features to Skype.
More and more of users have Skype on their phone, tablet, and PC. So still need to make Android
feel like Android and Windows feel like Windows, people want a fast, beautiful, and more coherent
design across all the devices they use
The one thing Skype has going for it is the massive technological and financial resources of
Microsoft. This has allowed Skype to regularly add new features, which is responsible for the
platform remaining as the top or one of the top systems in the market.
Skype continues to grow in users and the Skype app is one of the top 10 most downloaded apps of
all time on the Windows Phone, iOS, and Android platforms.
