 PORT Bolivar is located on the coast of South America,
south of Ecuador in the province of El Oro, and is the
second port of the Republic for the movement of cargo
in the National Port System.
 The entry of ships to berths, is performed by a
short access channel 4.5 nautical miles to sea
comfort in the natural breakwater of his Jambelí
Island and a maximum of half an hour, without
interruption 24 hours 365 days a year.
 The port has four docking lines distributed in
a dock breakwater, marginal wharf allowing
the simultaneous berthing of ships 4.
 Total support areas is 75.5
hectares.
 The concession or long-term lease of Puerto
Bolivar, via Executive Decree 674, issued in
May 2015 by President Rafael Correa.
 Hence the private sector is authorized in the
administration of the entity created in 1971
in the province of El Oro
 Aim of this project is to modernize and
expand Puerto Bolivar to make it a leader of
Ecuador and the Northern Region of SACP, by
improving the efficiency to meet the demands
and needs of foreign trade in the region-port
and logistics platform contribute to
improving the Matrix Productive Ecuador
 The scope of this project can be broken down
into two parts:
 .
Upgrading existing facilities to
improve their efficiency and invest in
new equipment and auxiliary
facilities, to also improve their
efficiency and effectiveness,
especially for the banana trade.
These investments include a cold
store, new doors, new tugboats,
mobile cranes, truck dock and patio
equipment for various bulk, etc. The
estimated investment is 330 million
USD in port equipment.
2. To develop the port as a system,
extending the current, with an estimated $
220 million in infrastructure investment.
This includes the new container terminal in
three phases, with the infrastructure and
equipment necessary to serve the largest
ships currently in service or in
development for the region. This also
oincluye berthing, handling and storage
required for new traffic and bulk (clnker,
cereals, etc.) and supply chain for these
goods. And also it includes building the
necessary capacity to meet the demands of
foreign trade in the region, as well as the
"CFS" inner capillary distribution
 YILPORT Holding N.V. It is proud to present
this "PRIVATE INITIATIVE" (IP) to the "Port
Authority of Puerto Bolívar (APPB)" for
modernization, new construction and
operation of the Port Terminal Puerto Bolivar,
under concession contract for 37 years, for
all types of loads and services.
 In 2010, the GEY acquired 20% of the shipping
company CMA-CGM, the third highest container
ship fleet capacity in the world, worth over USD
500 million amount. Subsequently increased its
stake to 24% in 2013. CMA-CGM is a very close
associate of YPH, both for existing terminals, and
for future opportunities
 YPH is an experienced port operator in ports
world-class multipurpose with 5 ports under
management and several more in the pipeline.
 the transformation of Puerto Bolivar in a modern
port facility, considering not only the current
traffic of bananas, but also new traffic of bulk
(cereals, clinker, coal, minerals, etc.) and
containers. YPH also included in the project some
facilities and related ancillary services such as:
