“Most people don't take snapshots of the
little things. The used Band-Aid, the guy at
the gas station, the wasp on the Jell-O. But
these are the things that make up the true
picture of our lives. People don't take
pictures of these things.”

7. Compare & Contrast
The time warp spoon feeds the audience by
using notes of the short attacks, sustain and
decay these notes inform the audience that they
are meant to feel tense which is backed up by
brad & Janet expressions, how ever the music is
major which is backed up by the rest of the cast’
expressions. How ever in Bill Fontana speed of
time, he uses displacement of sound, as he puts
sound in various places around London, where
the sounds wouldn’t normally be heard.
8. Compare & Contrast
Another component of musical theatre is sound
effects and these can be achieved through using
microphones or pre-recorded sounds. For example
when Columbia begins to tap dance, pre-recorded
sound is used. This could be used because they
want the audience to believe she is tap dancing and
want the audience to focus on the sound effect. How
ever to achieve this they also could of used Ambient
mics which would be place on the stage in order to
pick up the sound. How ever Bill Fontana uses a
network of micro phones in places such as, clock
towers as we here in speed of time. This enables the
audience to believe in the displacement as the
speakers are placed where the microphones picked
up the sounds effects.
