– Moodle is OSS(Open Source Software), no fee to use
it .
– Many plugins
– 2014/5/1 800 plugins
– frequent update->version 2.7 is long term support .
Thinking about the mobile learning by OSS, No doubt about it , the core factor
LMS is Moodle .

4. • Changing theme by devices
– You can choose theme for PC, tablet, or mobile .
– There is mobile theme, MyMobile, but
• It only adopts till Moolde 2.5 .
• Its level of completion is not so high .
• Mobile application
– HQ Official, Android, iPhone
– Validate Web service in Moodle .
– The apps only kicks the browser to show contents .
• Responsive theme
– From Moodle 2.5 , the theme based on Twitter Bootstrap
has been supplied .
– Only very simple theme, clean , is supplied by default .
– From Moodle 2.7, responsive theme became default .
You can change the view of Moodle drastically by changing themes. Three ways
available , we recommend responsive theme .

8. • MP4 is standard now (H.264/AAC)
• When you put MP4 file as Moodle 'File', if the
browser support it, it will be shown . But the
figure is depend on the browser .
• If you use video player, it will be the same figure .
• HTML5 Players
– VideoJS, JQuery Player, JW Player,... Youtube
• Where to put the video
– Youtube ... Is it ok ? the videos are watched by
everyone .
– Server local...Server CPU, network bandwidht is
enough ?
– CDN(Contents Delivery Network) ... scalable, not
free

– There are many softwares that convert
PPT to HTML5 from free to expensive one .
– It works if PPT is simple, but you have to
check it warily with complicated one .
• An idea, you can use photo viewer
– Only no animation PPT .
– Writing images from PPT, show them by
the viewer .
– As it is a picture, anyone can not copy as
characters .
– Same as original PPT . No cafeful check is
needed .
– Open source players
