PRINCIPLES
• All instructional material are
aids to instruction.
• Choose the instructional
material that best suits your
instructional objectives.
• If possible, use a variety of tools.
• Check out your instructional material
before class starts to be sure it is
working properly.
• For results, abide by the general
utilization guide on the use of media
given below:
1. Learn how to use the instructional
materials.
2. Prepare introductory remarks,
questions or initial comments you may
need.
3. Provide a conducive environment.
4. Explain the objectives of the
lesson.
5. Stress what is to be watched
or listened to carefully.
6. State what they will be
expected to do with the
information they will learn.
7. There is a need to summarize
or review the experience.
SELECTION OF
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS.
• Support the lesson
objectives
• Be student centered.
• Build in previous learning.
• Contain useful and
meaningful that is
consistent with
sound principles of
learning.
• Appeal to students.
• Maintain student
attention and
interest.
• Encourage students

appropriate.

direction of the behavior
or learning outcomes
specified in the learning
objectives.
• Provide proper stimuli
and reinforcement.
• Contain quality photos,
graphs and texts, as
required.

technical accuracy.

students.
