them to visit your facility. This technology uses GPS signals to determine when a target

Geofencing targets your most qualified audience by showing them ads for your offers,
products, and services when they step inside your geofence. These ads can be in the
form of push notifications, text messages, and even PPV ads through a web browser.

You can use your business app to send push notifications to the app users whenever
they step inside your virtual boundary. This notification will appear on their
smartphone screen even if your app is not open on their phone. For instance, if you’re

You can also send automated text messages as part of your geofencing campaign. For
this, you will need to obtain a list of target customers via other forms of marketing,
such as email, landing pages, subscription offers, and more. Once you have obtained
their contact information, you can send tailored automated messages to them if they
enter your geofence.
5. Geofencing with PPC Ads
You can also use Google Ads to target local customers with geofencing. However, for
this to work, you will have to target specific keywords so that whenever someone is in
your vicinity and they search that keyword, your business ad pops up on their search
results. But a potential consumer will only be able to see your ad when searching a
keyword if you have out-paid your competitors for that keyword.
