We listed our ideas and then discussed the strengths and weaknesses of
each idea. We came up with 3 ideas.
6. We had a vote to decide our action and
here are the results:

We decided to have a fundraiser to raise money to
make some nesting boxes for Wildlife Australia.
7. Ideas for sharing our action with the community.
• Make posters to advertise our action
• Put it in the newsletter
• Put it on the blog
• Say it at school assembly
• Announce it over the loud speaker
• Using publisher to make a banner
• Send a letter to Wild Life Australia
• Could have a fundraiser
• Put a message in the local newspaper
• Post a message on a community notice

We invited our Grade six buddies in to get some ideas on how to advertise
8. Miss Egan, our Principal, came into visit and we told
her all about our Action.
She thought a fundraiser was a great idea. Miss Egan
checked the calendar and said Wednesday 13th June
would be a good day to have our dress up day.
We decided to have ‘Rainbow Day’ and everyone in
the school could wear their favourite colours and
bring a gold coin donation.
Now we have to:
• Write a letter to tell everyone
• Make posters to put around the school
• Make announcements over the speaker and at
assembly
9. After Rainbow Day we will use the money raised
to buy materials for nesting boxes to help these
beautiful animals.
