Ideologies/streotypes

People Place Things that happen

Chief officers Alleyway murder

Police force Police office kidnapping

Forensic scientists Motorway Burglaries

Doctors Isolated house Drug use

victims Normal house Abuse

Criminals Suicide
Characters
The kind of characters that are in crime and policing soaps are:
• Ruthless
• Hoodlums
• Caring
• troubles
• Devoted to work
• Polite
• Loving
• dominant
• Over controlling
• Inferior
They do challenge stereotypes, as there is female chief officers and
more dominant parts played as females, this challenges the
stereotypes, as they are normally men that are the boss of the
  force and in more control.
Places/Setting
The different places these take places are:
• Night clubs
• Isolated areas
• Big houses
• Buses
• Parks
• Normal flats/houses
• Close down Factories
• Forests
• Police office
• Laboratory
The majority of this places are in interior places, as they wouldn’t
want to be seen doing the wrong thing in public.
Conventions
    Crimes:
        Burglaries
        Murders
        Drug-related crimes

• We would always expect some sort of action going on and the crime being solved
    at the end
• Also, we would expect one of the victims involved being badly hurt and end up in
    hospital
• We would see sacrifices being made by the police in order to solve a crime
• There would be issues in the private life of the officers
• One of the police officers getting hurt
