This is Jen’s shop. Jen’s shop is small. But Jen sells lots
of things. Jack goes to Jen’s shop. “Have you got any
pens?” he says. “Yes,” says Jen. “I have black pens and
blue pens. I have red pens and green pens.” “Have you got
any nibs?” says Jack. “Yes,” says Jen. “I have gold nibs. I have silver nibs.”
“Have you got any books?” says Jack. “Yes,” says Jen. “I
have fat books and thin books. I have long books and
short books.” “Have you got any bags?” says Jack. “Yes,
yes,” says Jen. “I have small bags and big bags.” “Have
you got any clocks?” says Jack. “YES!” sys Jen. “I have lots and lots and
lots of clocks.”
“Have you got any clips?” says Jack. Jen looks at Jack. “Yes, I have,” says
Jen. “Have you got any buttons? says Jack. “Yes, yes, yes!” says Jen. “I
have lots and lots of buttons. But what do you want?” Do you want a pen?
Do you want a nib? Do you want a book? Do you want a clock? Do you want
a clip? Do you want a button? What do you want?”
“Nothing,” says Jack. “I was just checking.” “Checking?”
says Jen. “CHECKING! I will give you checking!” Jen gets
up. Jen chases Jack away.
