This document summarizes a Comenius project meeting that took place from November 22-27, 2010 in Iasi, Romania. The project, called "My European Hero", involved partners from Italy, Turkey, Bulgaria, Poland and Romania. During the meeting, participants engaged in various activities to learn about each other's cultures and education systems. They also presented on their country's national hero, including dramatizations of works by Ion Creanga, Romania's national hero who is considered one of the greatest Romanian writers. The participants visited important sites related to Creanga and experienced Romanian folk dances and traditions. The objectives of promoting cultural exchange and understanding between partners were successfully met through the collaborative and engaging program.

3. Kindergarten PN .12, Iasi, Romania, between 22 to 27 November 2010, the second meeting took place in the Comenius
project “ MY EUROPEAN HERO”. This project is financially supported by the European Commission through the National Agency
for Community Programs, Comenius Sectoral Programme. At this meeting came 35 participants (18 teachers and 17 students) of Italy
(project coordinator), Turkey, Bulgaria and Poland. The project aims to develop and deepen knowledge about national cultures and
European and national authors and the Europeans by a wide range of activities promoting resource for teaching and learning in Europe.

4. The program was extremely well organized various activities, alternatives which have allowed us to come into
contact with some aspects of education and culture of the host country and other partner countries, but also to achieve our
goals set at the beginning of the project and for this meeting.
November 22nd
2010 : arrive partners from Italy and Turkey
November 23rd
2010 : visits to kindergarten ; Botanical Garden ; Park Copou , afternoon arrive parteners from Bulgaria and
Poland
November 24th
2010 : meet the director, the teachers and the pupils ; the presentation of the Romanian national hero.
Because the activities were varied, interesting and exciting, they have managed to arouse the interest of all the similarities
and differences in culture and education especially.

6. I think that all objectives have been met for this meeting, that the theater project and activities will
be an effective way to get in touch with folklore, culture and traditions of the countries involved. This will
break the social barriers that will try to cultural, communication and friendship to us more easily accept each
other and we realize that the relationship between peoples, cultures and different races means culture and
openness to new horizons. Ion Creanga is considered as one of the greatest writers of our people. Literary
Criticism in Creanga located among the great humorists of the world, humor is an important note of his
creation. The art was original, Creanga is a classic of Romanian literature, but also a humorist among umoriştii
world, universal value, whether the universality we mean that the highest expression of national originality of a
writer.
Handsome, almost reddish, the face and hair,
clear and powerful voice, green eyes, piercing, speaking
gentle and familiar to anyone acquainted Creanga first time
became sympathetic to all those who advised some.

7. Dramatizations” Goat with three kids”,” Bear, fox tricked”, had the actors not only preschool and
kindergarten students, but all participating countries. Costumes and sets have demonstrated the seriousness with which
they were informed about Ion Creanga and how well they get into Nica character “La Cherries”. There was absent
from the exhibition with the works program or student activities in the participating countries but not in PowerPoint
presentations on project work from each school.
Romania : drama “ GOAT WITH THREE KIDS” and “The Cherries” ; traditional dances
Ion Creanga ,our hero, is considered to be a valuable writer that has been charming tens of children’s
generations and will always be the children’s most favourite stories creator.Spending his entire life around children, the
great storyteller knew their concerns and preferences ,therefore he was able to create stories for them.

8. Each country presented a dramatization of a story from the works of Ion Creanga. Also, our partners had
specific songs and dances of their country.

12. I think that all objectives have been met for this meeting, that the theater project and activities will be
an effective way to get in touch with folklore, culture and traditions of the countries involved. This will break the
social barriers that will try to cultural, communication and friendship to us more easily accept each other and we
realize that the relationship between peoples, cultures and different races means culture and openness to new
horizons. A second important step will be that the experience of the project will help us improve our skills, and will
provide momentum for future development and involvement in as many projects of this kind, open to changes in the
educational system but and in the establishment.

13. Ion Creanga, the biggest story of the Romanians, was born June 10, 1839 Humulesti.Tra in the village
primary school in the 1846-1855 Humulesti follows, then learn to Brosteni, then Targu Neamt and catechist
school Falticeni. Between 1855-1858 Socola-seminar is the lowest, then joined the Faculty of Theology at the
University of Iasi, but did not participate. In 1875 he met Mihai Eminescu. They became good friends. Eminescu
Junimea join the literary society and helps to start conversations literary mother with three daughters, 1 October
1875, where he published until 1878 and other stories from 1881 to 1882 in public first three parts of childhood
memories, the fourth part appeared posthumously. He died Dec. 31, 1889.

ION CREANGA is one of the classics of Romanian literature. Recognized because mastery tales, stories and
his stories, Ion Creanga entered in the history of Romanian literature, mainly due to the work of
autobiographical memories of childhood.
