Perfect Tenses - I

Present Perfect
 Descreve uma ação iniciada no passado e que
continua no presente ou, pelo menos, cujos
efeitos continuam sendo observados.
 That decision has changed his life.
 I have studied that before.
Present Perfect
 Os “Perfect Tenses” tem como verbo auxiliar de sua
formação o “To Have” acrescido do Verbo Principal no
Particípio Passado.
 We have just had lunch!
 She has been to Buckingham Palace.
 But she has not had a tea there!

 Podem ser acompanhados de advérbios como

 Ever – Já / Alguma vez (geralmente usado em perguntas)
 Already – já (indicando fato realizado)
 Yet – já (interrogativas), ainda (negativas

 Lately
 Recently
Past Perfect
 Descreve uma ação passada anterior a outra ação
também no passado.
 He had written many poems before he knew her.
 After she had been a teacher for years, she
changed her job.

for hours.
