Program Manager
 Along with the Executive Director, screen prospective program guests using telephone and in-person
Interviews.
 Perform guest intake process to include orientation into the program, needs assessment, and
development of an individual case plan (to include steps and timetable). Timetable should reflect program
goal of secure employment and housing within 60-90 days.
 Perform exit-process for guests to include exit interview, moving plan, and coordination of follow-up plan
when appropriate.
 Conduct and document weekly case meetings with each guest family to review case plan, track progress,
Set goals, deal with any issues, and provide guidance, counseling and needed resource referrals. Some
case meetings will occur at the congregations in the evening hours.
 Support guests in obtaining employment-assisting guests in organizing their employment search; providing
information about potential employers; assisting guests in resume and interview proficiency; enhancing
guests understanding of services available in the community; and assisting guests in applying for GED and
job skill education program to increase job readiness.
 Assist guests in securing affordable housing and identifying resources to aid in transition.
 Maintain up-to-date records on all guests served and keep necessary statistics.
 Schedule guest transportation as needed and provide transportation services when needed.
 Identify and secure community resources for guests while keeping positive relationship with staff from
other social service agencies. This may involve creating needed resources.
Work closely with Intake and Referral Specialist to ensure accurate information is maintained about
program guidelines and the availability of shelter space.
 Build database of resources, both local and regional, for homeless families
Information concerning these resources should be available in handout form to provide to
families.
 Provide on-call after hour’s coverage as assigned by the Executive Director.
