3. Introduction
Definition:
A role model is a person whose behavior, example, or success is or can be
followed by others, especially by younger people.
A substantial number of studies have shown us that humans learn through
modeling others.
4. Characteristics
Following are the characteristics for checking or following a role model:
Vision: A role model must have a vision to achieve something.
Passion: His vision become his passion with the passage of time.
Hard Work: He work hard to achieve his goal no matter how many hardships
he face. He never stops and always look forward.
Destination: In the end success is the result of hard work.
5. My Role Model
(Capt. Mearaj Shaheed)
Born: Takht Bhai, Mardan (KPK)
Education:
(Up to Class 6) F.G Public School Peshawar.
(Class 7 to 12) Cadet College Razmak, North Waziristan Agency
Career: (Army Cadet i.e. G.C) @ Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul <2003-2005>
(Second Lt., Lt. and Captain) @ Pakistan Army
Introduction:
Captain Mearaj Muhammad Safi Shaheed was a BRAVE Officer of Pakistan Army.
He came from the Safi Tribe of Mohmand Agency but his ancestors had migrated to Takht Bhai area of
Mardan. His father, Dost Muhammad Khan Safi (Late) was an officer in WAPDA and had shifted his family to
Peshawar for service reasons and kids schooling.

Vision: Eliminate local security crises.
Passion: Love for country and passion to join Pak Army.
Hard Work: Best in every sphere of life.
Destination: Embraced Martyrdom for peace.
7. My Role Model (Continued…)
After passing out of Cadet College Razmak, he was
inducted in 112 Long Course in Pakistan Military
Academy, Kakul in 2003. At PMA Kakul, he remained
the best Cadet in all areas of training and held the
highest academy appointment of "Academy Senior
Under Officer (ASUO)".
For his overall best performance in two years of
training at PMA, he was awarded the prestigious
"Sword of Honour" in 2005.
8. My Role Model (Continued…)
He was commissioned in Armored Corps of Pak Army in 2005. He remained in
Bahawalpur for some time and proved his mettle throughout his garrison. He
topped the "Armour Course" at the Pak Army's "School of Armor", Nowshehra,
in 2006.
Afterwards, as a volunteer, he was attached with the Frontier Corps (F.C) to
take part in anti-militancy operations in Darra Adam Khel. He played his role
effectively in ensuring peace in the militancy-hit areas

In April-May 2009, Pak Army started "Operation Rah-e-Raast" in Malakand
Division to purge the unfortunate region of militants loyal to Maulvi Fazlullah.
On 4 June 2009, a Police convoy was attacked with IED and gunfire on the
Rustam-Ambela road near the Mardan-Buner border. His SOG team rescued
the police convoy but Captain Mearaj himself succumbed to his wounds and
joined the Saff (row) of Shaheeds (Martyrs)

In recognition of his gallantry and the sacrifice he
rendered for his homeland, Captain Mearaj Safi
Shaheed has been awarded Sitara-e- Basalat
(Military).
Also, his parent unit, the 12 Armoured Corps, has
named a road and chowk (square) in Bahawalpur
Cantt. after him as "Captain Mearaj Shaheed Road /
Square".
