- Fixa't que totes les formes són iguals per a les diferents persones del verb i que
darrere el verb modal can hi posem l'infinitiu sense "to": I can swim
- The negative form "can't" can also be written in full "cannot" (NOT : can not)
Example: My brother can't swim = My brother cannot swim
- Fem servir aquest verb en dues situacions ben diferenciades:
a) quan volem dir que algú sap fer alguna cosa (tenir l'habilitat) :
My mother can sew very well (la meva mare sap cosir molt bé)
b) quan volem dir que algú pot fer alguna cosa (tenir el permís) :
I can go to my friend's party on Saturday (puc anar a la festa del meu amic el dissabte)
