The hero archetypes of Star Wars

1. HERO ARCHETYPES

2. THE PROFESSOR
• The professor is the analytical person who
knows every answer. The professor was Ben
Obi-Wan Kenobi.
• He was the professor because he was the
most wise out of all of them. This is because
he had past experience with Darth Vader,
and so knew most of the answers for
everything, which is why he helped Luke so
much and told him what to do.

3. THE CHIEF & THE BAD BOY
• The chief is a dynamic leader and has time for nothing but
work. The bad boy is dangerous to know and he walks
on the wild side. I think the chief and bad boy was Darth
Vader.
• He was the chief because he was the leader of his group,
and everyone followed his orders. He had his own troop
and everyone obeyed him which gave him more power,
and he was always focused on the work he had to get
done and gave orders.
• He was also the bad boy as he was the villain of the film,
which made him look and seem more dangerous. He had
a mask and didn’t have much of an identity which makes
him seem dangerous and more on the wild side because
of the things he did.

4. THE WARRIOR
• The warrior is the noble chamion, he acts with honor. I
think that there were 2 warriors in the film, Ben Obi-
Wan Kenobi, and Luke Skywalker.
• Ben was a warrior because as he got killed towards the
end, he was like a champion because he did it to
help Luke and the others for their benefit. He also
acted honourable throughout the movie.
• However, Luke was also presented as a warrior
because he was the hero of the film, and so was the
champion in the end. This is because he was
determined to save Princess Lea and get her back
safely, which he did.

5. THE SWASHBUCKLER
• The swashbuckler is Mr. Excitement, he’s an
adventurer. I think the swashbuckler was
Luke Skywalker.
• This is because he was the most determined
out of all the characters to achieve his goal,
which was to save the princess and attack
the bad forces. He was an adventurer
because he was willing to take the risks and
was actually excited for what he was going to
do.

6. THE LOST SOUL
• The lost soul is a tormented being, lives in
solitude. I think the lost soul was Princess
Lea.
• This is because she gets trapped for a long
period of time, being alone with no one to
care for her. The bad forces don’t treat her
nicely and she has no company as she’s
locked up in her cell with no one to talk to.

7. THE BEST FRIEND
• The best friend is sweet and safe, he never lets
anyone down. The best friend of the film is
Hans Solo.
• This is because he helped Luke with the situation,
and was always by his side. Although he wasn’t
willing to do it at first, throughout the movie
he got closer to Luke helping him. And towards
the end, even though he didn’t want to go into
space, he still did because he didn’t want to let
down Luke, and wanted to be by his side.
