Pen & Ink Project
PROCESS:
1) You will develop familiarity with using quill pens and
India ink by creating Zen Tangles.
1)You will practice shading with pen & ink by creating
several basic forms in your sketchbook.
1) In your sketchbook, you will come up with a design
that relates to the idea of “One World”, our theme for
the Remembrance Day Assembly.
1) You will execute your design with pen & ink.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must relate to the theme of “One World”

Must demonstrate a range of 5 values using
hatching, cross-hatching, and/or stippling:
(black, dark grey, medium grey, light grey, white)

Design must fill the space on the paper
provided.

Artist's Statement
1) Explain your design. How did you come up
with it? What does it mean?
1) Evaluate whether or not you were successful
in creating a range of 5 values. Describe
where you did well or where you struggled.
1) Do you think your artwork is successful
overall? Explain.
