A split second is an incredibly short period of time, yet much can happen in that brief moment. Research has found that in just one second, our eyes can take in an entire scene of a landscape or room, processing color, movement, objects, and other visual details. The brain then analyzes and makes sense of all this visual information nearly instantaneously to help us understand what we're seeing.
