2. Born in West Bengal, Jagannath Paul is an artist based in

Jagannath Paul graduated from the Kolkata Government College
of Arts and Crafts in 2000. He has won many prestigious
awards.
His works show the drama of black and white by introducing
solid blocks of paint, which are restricted to reds, yellows, and
oranges. The contrast sets the mood of the work, highlighting
the character he paints. Her skillful interpretation of the
feminine form shows an innate understanding and mastery of
the subject.
