2. What is the issue
The use of fossil fuels to create energy has many negative side effects. The
combustion of fossil fuels have been know to lead to ailments such as
heart disease, cancer and respiratory disease as well as developmental
impairments in primarily children and the elderly.
Other issues are air pollution and fossil fuels are not naturally replenished
like renewable resources.
There won't be any more fossil fuels left in the next 50 to 100 years.
Global Climate Change
3. Why is it relevant/worth exploring?
The issues regarding fossil fuels are relevant to not just me and not just
americans but to every single living person because we are all being
affected by the use of fossil fuels.
This issue is worth exploring because once people learn about alternate
ways to harness energy we can all do our part to help.
4. Potential Questions
What are the alternatives to fossil fuels?
What changes can you make in your life to use less energy?
When should we (humans) make the switch to 100% renewable energy?

7. Potential Challenges
Some challenges that I will have to overcome are…
Finding an area of focus. My topic is very broad due to the fact that there
are so many types of renewable energy and all the problems that come
from fossil fuels.
The research will not be easy on this topic because it has many terms
specific to energy, electricity and science. As a researcher I will have to
look up many definitions because this topic is new to me.
