5. Costume feedback
From looking at Katy Perry clothes that she wears, I have realised she wears clothes during her
songs that helps promote her song. Katy wears some outrageous outfits but they are all
mostly dress and they all have some sort of 3-d effect on them, this is one of the main things
that makes Katy Perry so different from everyone else. Through out all her songs she wear
various different dress. When we do our song we won’t have resources that Katy had during
her songs so we will have to used the basic resources that we have access to.
We have chosen to do the song ‘the one that got away’ by Katy Perry which is more of a serious
song of hers rather than and fairytale one so with the clothes we can stay very simple.
Taylor swift in comparison to Katy Perry is very normal and simple. We shall be more focusing our
clothes on Taylor Swift style rather than having over the top style like Katy’s. In Taylor Swift
songs she is also playing the sweet and innocent teenager so her clothes would be something
simple and this is the look we are going for. Also are target audience would be teenage girls
who are into fashion and follow the lastest trends so when filming we have to bare that in
mind.
Ke$hia would also be a good example of as a fashion icon as she has her own unique look
through-out her music videos. Most people would relate Katy Perry to a unique person so the
link would be the same but we are making it more simpler as we don’t have the resources
like she has.
