What is Christian Authors
on Tour (CAOT)?
Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) - a group
of Christian authors on FIRE for God and
committed to using writing as a tool for
Christian ministry – is steadfast in its efforts
to introduce readers to books that,
1. Lead people to the Word of God (The
Holy Bible)
2. Help people build their relationship
with Christ; and
3. Inspire others to use writing as a tool
for Christian ministry.
In existence since 2008, CAOT has
sponsored five Christian book tours: the
2008-2009 Voices of Thanksgiving; the
2010 Trustworthy and True, the 2012
Fellowship of Believers; the 2013 Holy
Spirit-Filled and Powerful Witnesses of
Christ, and the 2014 Called to Serve.
In 2015, CAOT is taking a year of rest,
reflection and planning. Therefore, it is not
hosting a Christian book tour. God-willing,
CAOT will re-launch its Christian book tours
in 2016!

4. Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) has been blessed to work with over 90 Christian authors (fiction and non-fiction) from
across the United States. Membership into Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) is lifelong. Since 2008, there have been three
ways that Christian authors could gain membership into CAOT:
1. Pay to vend at a CAOT sponsored Christian book tour stop;
2. Receive a Christian Author Award from CAOT that waived vending fees but granted vending opportunities at a CAOT
Christian book tour stop; or
3. Receive an invitation from the African American Author’s Expo (AAAE) to vend with AAAE at the annual Christian
Writer’s Literary Festival, the last stop of all of CAOT’s annual Christian book tours.
CAOT authors/members can choose to opt out of an annual CAOT-sponsored Christian book tour. It is not mandatory for
CAOT authors/members to participate in a CAOT sponsored Christian book tour. CAOT authors/members can be active in
other ways (i.e. co-hosting the CAOT Blog Talk Radio Show; standing as an intercessor in prayer for CAOT
authors/members and CAOT). CAOT membership is lifelong and renews automatically each year unless that author submits
a written communication to Lynn Pinder (Chief Visionary Officer) requesting termination of his/her CAOT membership.
Those CAOT authors/members who choose to participate in a CAOT-sponsored Christian book tour must pay an annual fee
to showcase their books as a vendor at a scheduled tour stop. The fee for new members is slightly higher as it incorporates
the one-time CAOT membership fee. The returning CAOT authors/members receive discounts toward vending fees and
other special promotions (i.e. color ads for marketing their books). Additionally, CAOT authors/members have
opportunities to participate in special marketing opportunities (i.e. calendars, Christmas anthology, E-blasts, quarterly
reports) to help them raise awareness about who they are as Christian authors and the books they have written.
CAOT authors/members also have the opportunity to stay connected via the CAOT Back Office on NING, a private online
communication portal for CAOT authors/members to stay informed about CAOT updates and Tour stops. The CAOT Back
Office on NING is also set-up so that CAOT authors/members can connect with their fellow CAOT authors/members.
One of the most beneficial aspects of being part of CAOT has always been the opportunity to connect with other Christian
authors to fellowship, share, learn, grow, praise, and write!

Since 2011, Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) has collected in-kind donations for various Christian missions at
Christian book tour stops across the country. In 2015, Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) is not hosting a Christian
book tour. Thus, CAOT won't be collecting in-kind donations in 2015. However, CAOT is spotlighting various
Christian missions outreaches/projects each month of the year. You can contact these Christian nonprofits anytime
throughout the year to support Christian missions/outreach efforts:

12. avails much.” What He told me next rocked my world and changed my life forever. He said the word avails means to produce,
result in, and display. Our righteousness is as of filthy rages but He made His son to be sin for us so we could be made the
righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We have no need to pray for righteousness because if we are saved, born again, and filled with
the Spirit of God, we are as righteous as we will ever be.
Fervent means with great effort and vigor. It indicates an emotional component. Prayer is not an event, it is a lifestyle. Prayer is the
key component of our relationship with God. Prayer, literally, is communication with God. So, where does that leave us in our
definition? We can read this scripture as follows: The vigorous, using great effort, communication with God because we were made
righteous by the blood shed by Jesus on the cross at Calvary should produce, result in, and display great results. Why is this not
working for so many?
God showed me the key element absent in this equation is the word effectual. This word means effective or efficient. What are we
missing to make our prayer effectual? God then asked me, “What did Jesus do?”
Who is the Holy Spirit?
Many who call themselves Christians are floundering, suffering, and anxious in their Christian walk. The
church is in disarray, racked by scandal and extremely ineffectual. Preachers orate biblical principles while
living principles of the world. The world looks at the church and asks the question, “Why should I go to
church when it looks just like the world?” I faced this dilemma a little over a year ago after 40+ years of
being saved and 20 years in the ministry. It was quite a quandary, and I was really discouraged.
One morning at about 3 a.m., I was awakened to the voice of God asking me, “Why is the effectual fervent
prayer of righteous men availing nothing?” I did not have an answer. I was familiar with this verse and
immediately looked it up in my Bible. James 5:16b says, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man

13. I said, “He prayed and did what His Father showed Him.” He said, “Correct. Here’s what I want
you to do. When you wake up in the morning seek MY face through the presence of the Holy
Spirit. I will tell you what to pray for. Then as you go throughout your day, listen to the voice of
the Spirit and I will tell you what else I want you to do. If you pray what I tell you to pray you
place an obligation on Me to answer your prayer and it will be the effectual fervent prayer of a
righteous man and it will avail much.”
WOW! I don’t know about you, but I got excited. Ever since that day I have not prayed one
thing I was not told to pray. Everything I have prayed has come to pass. God is awesome. This,
however, only works when you develop your relationship with the Holy Spirit. Let me explain.
When Jesus was getting ready to leave to go to heaven, He told the disciples He had to leave so
God could send the Holy Spirit. John 16:7 says, “7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your
advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I
depart, I will send Him to you.” This was absolutely necessary because in John 16:13-15 says,
“13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will
not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you
things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare
it to you.”
You must understand, to know God, you must have access to Jesus. To have access to Jesus, you
must know the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives on the inside of you. He is always talking to
you. You must begin to acknowledge Him, develop your relationship with Him, and depend on
Him to be your Comforter. When you do this HE will lead you and guide you into all truth and
show you things to come.
Believe me. This will change your life. If you don’t believe me then do what Proverbs 3:5-6
says, “5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all
your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

increased opportunities for its authors/members to take
advantage of structured learning activities and
opportunities to help them grow as Christian
writers/authors.
Most of the professional development opportunities
offered through CAOT are facilitated by seasoned
Christian authors and/or followers of Christ who are
committed to helping build the body of Christ and to
spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministry
of writing.
Each quarter in 2015, CAOT is offering a series of free
professional development (PD) telephone conference
calls for CAOT authors/members who participated in a
CAOT Christian book tour stop between the years of

The Book of Proverbs (Proverbs) has always been enlightening to my family and me.
Proverbs helped me as a teenager to understand how I should live based on God’s Word
without becoming and remaining so angry with my parents. It was used as a guide in our
home although I used to think that it was used as a weapon to get me to do whatever my
parents wanted. I now know better. Proverbs is now a tool that my husband and I use in
our home - not to control our children but to lead them to wiser choices that will bring
peace into their lives.
Christian author, Indi Wright, does a magnificent job teaching from each of the 31 chapters
of Proverbs in her book, 31 Days to a Wiser You. Wright’s book offers fresh insight that
allows believers to understand and apply God’s Word on a higher level. I have never read
a book and gleaned so much in such a short period of time. I finished Wright’s book in
two weeks because I wanted more insight from her each day. Wright does not coddle egos
in her writing, but she gives instruction uncut and honest. Her instruction is not meant to
make you feel good, but it doesn’t condemn either. Wright speaks on matters of the flesh,
the mind, and all challenges we face in an ungodly world. She gets straight to the point
instructing believers to live a life of wisdom and peace. Wright uses Proverbs as the basis
for her book, and she incorporates other biblical scriptures to help believers live wisely.
Her book gives readers powerful nuggets that will allow them to be victorious in their
journey to be more like Christ.

Christ, then apply the principles in 31 Days To A Wiser You.
