2. Last week This week Next week
.
Last week I drafted
some ideas , and
choose the best two
layouts for my print.
This week I took
photos and went
through them and
chose the best quality
pictures to use and
started piecing
together a draft on
photoshop.
I will be taking some
more photos and
putting the final
changes together. I
will also do a focus
group to see what
changes can be
made and get other
peoples opinions of
my work
3. This is what I will use as a
guide to how I will present
my poster
As we can see there is
some previous posters
used by the college.
4. These are the three drafts that we
made originally. These were the
first steps to figuring out what our
posters and magazine covers
would look like .
To do this I used paint 3d to covert
them from my flat plan drawing to a
5.
6. This is an example of a photo I
wouldnât use. As we can see the
lighting isnât used to its ability and on
a poster this wouldnât attract an
audience
This is a great example of a photo I
would use. The lighting is great and it
gives of a happy presence. This would
be one I use in my campaign.
7. - This is the first poster I have made, as we can
see I have used a similar format to the posters
Sunderland college have previously used.
- I used the photographs taken in the studio and
blended the images and added bright coloured
information box to highlight what can be made
in creative media.
- There is also the Sunderland college logos to
make sure they stand out to anyone looking at
them.
- This was my first time using photoshop so I
decided to make two to show some of the
progress.
I would improve most things in this poster
although it is useable I would make the white
writing less bold. The pictures closer together
and the background less white, to add some
definition.
8. . This was the second poster I
made
. I decided to use some
prototypes of the old college
campaigns as seen in my
inspiration mood board
. I decided to use some of the
first photos I made and made
it quite plain so that there isnât
too much information's and its
subtle but shows u what can
be seen in the music
department as well as the high
tech provided
I would use this poster as
well however I would make
the white background for the
writing lighter. And maybe
blur the imagine in the
background
9. This poster was also one of the first I
made however compared to my last
ones it isnât as detailed.
However it is effective as we can
clearly see the Sunderland college
badge.
I made this to highlight the
experimentation with the equipment
and blending of tools that I found
difficult when I started.
I liked the idea of using an overlap
effect and I will explain in the next
slide how I done it.
To improve this poster I would
add more details in, make the
quote more outstanding and
enlarge the left image to match
the right and make it more
sharper around the overlap.
10. - This is my final poster I am going to use.
- I took some photos using the coloured gel to
change the lighting and added some slight blur
effects and blended the two photos together to
achieve the blurry look.
- I have tried to take inspiration from a magazine
cover and used a dark blue theme to match the
logo of the college.
- I used a downloaded font to oppose the dark
colours.
- I wanted to use a dark theme to highlight the
photography that can be done inside the college
and the professionalism of the equipment
available.
- I used true representations of how the college is
rated
- Overall I liked this poster as it shows the
progress through the technology used as I am
now able to use photoshop better than I was
when I started my first project.
Even though this is my final product I would improve
the sharpening of the Sunderland college logo and the
capital letter in enrol.
11. I used
these tools
mainly
down the
lefty hand
side to edit,
crop, move
and
manipulate
the images
I took
This is how I
manipulated
the colour
palate when
I was using
text or
blending
images
together
This is
where the
layers were
that would
control the
overlay of
the image
and where
cropped
sections
would be
stored.
This is where size and blend
can be controlled . It can also
change the colour
This is where
free transform
is located to
move any
image
This is
where
I would
see
the
edit
proces
s
For example
I used photoshop for all of my projects and posters. There has been a
clear improvement on usage of the software as seen throughout the work.
12. When recapping my audience feedback I
discovered that most viewers preferred the
magazine cover layout.
This was seen when nine out of twelve people
claimed this was a better design. As well as this
many people said that a simple design like the
inspiration from the previous college designs
would also make a good poster.
I also made changes to the layout of my other
posters as some voted that the colour schemes
were too similar therefore I made some
opposing backgrounds.
Audience feedback is a necessity when
making and designing posters as it gives
weight to the argument as to why you used
the tools and techniques in the project. It also
gives a clear understanding as to what a
similar audience would look out for.
