Interpreting the brief
Brief
I have been asked to make a product aimed towards 16 to 20 year olds to try and ensure they lead a healthy
lifestyle. I am going to be making an advertisement aimed towards them to deter them from drinking alcohol and
smoking at a young age. I can do this in the form of print, tv or radio. The most accessible to my audience
would probably be radio or print, as many young people use use mobile phones to listen to music therefore they
could listen to the advertisement when payed ads are on for example on Spotify or I could publish my print on
social media so that it can be visible to my target audience on there.
INTRODUCTION
• Firstly, I will be working for the NHS, making a campaign for change
aimed at 16- to 19-year-olds. This is made to promote a healthier lifestyle
and to show the positive impacts of changing unhealthy habits. They are
hoping to promote better hobbies to change young peoples lives and make
a bigger impact on general health in that age group in order to encourage
healthier lifestyles by starting when people are young.
• I will also be preventing the use of underage drinking and smoking to
help adolescents make changes before an addiction becomes serious and
to help label the way they can prevent this
My thoughts
Overall I think that I have asked to do this product as it seems the numbers of unhealthy people have
risen due to covid, life styles, psychographics and demographics. In the uk in 2022 proved that 63.9% of
people are obese, 7% of people eat junk food every day, 20 people die from smoking everyday and 60%
of adults drink up to 14 units of alcohol per week.
This is very worrying and needs to change, therefore my advert will try and change peoples views on
this and make sure my target audience has a clear understanding on how to be healthy and also lead a
healthy and happy life.

  • 2. Brief I have been asked to make a product aimed towards 16 to 20 year olds to try and ensure they lead a healthy lifestyle. I am going to be making an advertisement aimed towards them to deter them from drinking alcohol and smoking at a young age. I can do this in the form of print, tv or radio. The most accessible to my audience would probably be radio or print, as many young people use use mobile phones to listen to music therefore they could listen to the advertisement when payed ads are on for example on Spotify or I could publish my print on social media so that it can be visible to my target audience on there.
  • 3. INTRODUCTION • Firstly, I will be working for the NHS, making a campaign for change aimed at 16- to 19-year-olds. This is made to promote a healthier lifestyle and to show the positive impacts of changing unhealthy habits. They are hoping to promote better hobbies to change young peoples lives and make a bigger impact on general health in that age group in order to encourage healthier lifestyles by starting when people are young. • I will also be preventing the use of underage drinking and smoking to help adolescents make changes before an addiction becomes serious and to help label the way they can prevent this
  • 4. My thoughts Overall I think that I have asked to do this product as it seems the numbers of unhealthy people have risen due to covid, life styles, psychographics and demographics. In the uk in 2022 proved that 63.9% of people are obese, 7% of people eat junk food every day, 20 people die from smoking everyday and 60% of adults drink up to 14 units of alcohol per week. This is very worrying and needs to change, therefore my advert will try and change peoples views on this and make sure my target audience has a clear understanding on how to be healthy and also lead a healthy and happy life.
