Information about volunteering with this year's GUMSHOE Discovery!Summit.

1. DISCOVERY!SUMMIT 2010 General Interest Meeting Thursday, October 15, 2009

3. Introduce students to college life and possibilities of pursuing the sciences in college

4. Provide hands on experience to aid in the learning process

6. Biology & Medicine

7. Physics & Engineering

8. Chemistry & Environmental Science

9. Tours of campus, particularly science labs

10. Student speakers and panels

13. Approximately 3-7 members needed for each committee

14. Responsibilities:

15. Organize lesson plan for interactive workshop

16. Create worksheets to facilitate learning

17. Should meet about once a week to plan; more frequently in the weeks leading up to D!S

18. Meeting with GUMSHOE board members once a month for progress updates as well as email coordination

19. Volunteer on the day of:

20. Set up/clean up; TAs for workshops

21. Campus tours
