XFlip Pro is an easy to use yet powerful flip book making software. Only a few clicks to
make a flipbook to share online.

Overview

XFlip Pro provides you a professional way to integrate hyperlinks, videos, images, sounds,
clipart and more multimedia objects to your output flipping page books. This is a nice program
to make digital publications.

Brand new Interface, more easy-to-use

The newly-designed XFlip Pro makes it more intuitive for users. Once opening the page flip



software, you will see ten main buttons: New Project, Open Project, Save, Import Files, Add
Music, Design, Preview, Publish, BatchConvert, Setting. Well, the flipping book creation work is
so easy with only a few steps.

Import multiple type files

Besides importing PDF files to flipbook, you also can import Office documents (PowerPoint,
Word, Excel), Flash movies (.flv, f4v, mp4 and .swf), images (.jpg, .png, .bmp, .jpeg, gif) as
flipping book pages. Therefore, it would be a nice application to make photo flipping books
and video flipping books.

Integrate Multimedia objects to PDF pages

Adding multimedia to your PDF pages is very simple. You can add text, hyperlinks, video
(YouTube video included), Flash movie, images, hotspot, clipart, and sound to output

Installation

You can easily install XFlip Pro after downloading a copy from our website
www.XFlip.com.

To Install XFlip Pro:
Go to www.XFlip.com and download XFlip Pro (Allow Blocked Content if there is a hint on top
of Internet Explorer).
When download is complete, double-click the downloaded file.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
If you are using Windows 2000/ XP/ Vista/ 7, you must have administrator privileges to install
XFlip Digital Publishing Software.

Installation Notes:

License Agreement. To use XFlip Digital Publishing Software, you must agree to the terms of
the license agreement. Read the terms of this agreement carefully, and check the option I
accept the agreement and click < Next > to continue. If you do not agree, click < Cancel > to
abort installation.
Destination Folder. Specify the location to install the program to. If the default location is
acceptable, click < Next >. Directly input an alternate location or click < Browse > to select a
folder.
Additional Options. This screen allows you to choose if you would like to add a Desktop icon
and/or Quick Lunch link to your system.
Ready to Install. When this screen appears, you are ready to install the XFlip Pro. Click <
Install > and wait for installation to complete.

Registration

XFlip Pro is distributed as "try before you buy" software. It runs as a trial version until you
enter your registration keycode. During the trial period, you may evaluate almost all the
functions and features of the software. When the trial ends, you must either purchase the
software or uninstall it.
If you purchase XFlip Pro , you will receive an email with Registration email address and
keycode right away after this order is processed successfully. After registration, you're allowed
to run XFlip Pro as a fully-registered version.



How to register :

There are 2 ways:
1. Doble click shotcut icon of our program on desktop. Log in window will pop up. Please
enter your registration email address and keycode EXACTLY as same as what we
sent. Please do not use your own email address. Ater input registration information, please
click Register.

2. If you already open the program and in its main page, you can use the help menu on the
top of interface, choose Help > Register

Then log in window will appear, please register as above first method.

Note:

1. Multi use: Please note that normally 1 license is just for 1 computer. If you want to use our



software in multi computer, please buy multi license package.
2. Change PC: If you want to change computer, please first uninstall it in your old computer,
then install it in your new computer.
3. Reinstall Windows: If you reinstall your Windows, keycode can still work.
4. Upgrade:
There are 2 kinds of upgrade:
a. Upgrade from version 2 to version 3, it's not free. Old keycode will not work in
upgraded version. You need to paid for new keycode. Please contact us to

b. Upgrade from version 3, it is free. Old keycode can still be used after you
upgraded.

Using XFlip Pro
XFlip Pro comes with user-friendly and wizard-guided interface that enables you to quickly
make a Flipping Digital Magazine. There are 10 tabs on our main interface, as this picture
shows.

There're six menus on the top of main interface. Following is their using instruction.

Click the options bar under 'Option' menu, the Setting window will pop up, you can do the
settings.

Help Menu:

If you want add more your own style to your flipbook, you can use design tab and setting tab.

Add File

XFlip Pro can import multiple files. Besides importing PDF files to flipbook, you also can
import Office documents (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Flash movies (.flv, f4v, mp4 and .swf),
images (.jpg, .png, .bmp, .jpeg, gif) as flipping book pages. So, it would be a nice application
to make photo flipping books and video flipping books.

1.Add File
Click "Import Files" submenu under Insert Menu to add files from computer to XFlip Pro, or
use shortcut keys Ctrl + O.

Or use this button on top of the interface to add files.

2. Select file

In this window, you can select the file you want to import. To select more than one file, hold
the Ctrl or Shift Key while clicking on files you want to add.



3. Settings

After selected the file you want to import, there's a window show like this, following is its
instruction:

1)Source File. click this icon to select the file you want to import.

2)Page Rages. There're 4 options:
a. All : Means importing all pages of your file.
b. Odd : Means importing odd pages of your file.
c. Even : Means importing even pages of your file.
d. Custom: Just import some of them. For example, if you enter '1,3,6', means



you only want to import page 1, 3 and 6. If you enter '7-10', means you want
to import from page 7 to page 10.

4. Arrange position of pages
When files are imported, thumbnails are showing on the bottom of page, you can change
position/location of these pages by left clicking Drag-n-drop desired page thumbnail
to the position you want.

You could also move multiple pages to new position after select them by holding Ctrl Key or
Shift Key.

5. Delete Files
Select a file then click "Delete" button on above picture to remove that file from flipbook .
To delete multiple photos, select them by holding Ctrl Key or Shift Key while clicking on
photos, and then right click, click "Delete" button.



Design

After importing files to XFlip Pro , you can now design your flipbook pages with multimedia
objects and element to your flipbook pages.
You can add hyperlinks, text, images, Flash movie SWF,video (YouTube video included),
sound, hotSpot to output PDF flipping pages and enrich your output PDF flipping book. It
would be a good tool to enhance the digital publications reading experience.

Interface explaining:

1.Working Area Element. This is for adding multimedia objects, including Hyperlink, Text,
Image, Hotspot, Add SWF , Video, YouTube Video , Sound.
2.Layout. Here you can change the positions of the existing elements, or delete elements
that you want to give up. You can also drag this Layout tool box to working area and close it
by the button . If you want it display again, you can find this submenu under the View
menu, just click to set it display again.



3.Properties. Set properties for the elements that you added. This tool box also can be drag
and you can also closed it by the button . And you can also find this submenu from the
View menu.

4.Page content. As work platform, you can edit pages.
5. Page selection: You can view thumbnails, click and select the page you want to edit.
To add pages, just click the Import Files button on the top menu,please refer to previous
page for how to add file.
To delete the page, right click the thumbnail page you selected, and then click the delete
option to discard the page.
Note, please first select page before starting any edit. In following instruction of page
edit, I will by pass this step.



Add Hyperlinks

Add Blank Link

1. Click at the left of the interface.Left click, hold and drag the mouse to

draw a frame on where you want to add hyperlink.
2. 'HotSpot Properties' tool box will be available at the right of the work area,
click "Action" button under link option, 'link' Window pop up, here you can do Internal
Linking, Email link, and words you type will show on your page.
3. Position settings. You can drag the frame the to adjust the position of
hyperlinks.
4. Link Action. Choose the radio button of ''Go to a page''.
If you choose hyperlink, please write down the link and select which way it will open,
in a new window or current window.
5. Click "OK". The hyperlink will appear on the page you chose.



6. To modify setting or delete the hyperlink you just created , please set the
"Layout" and "HotSpot Properties" tab on the right.

Add Text Link

1. Click at the left of the interface.Left click.

2. Hold and drag the mouse to draw a frame on where you want to add hyperlink.
3. 'Text Properties' tool box will be available at the right of the work area,
4. Click "Action" button under link option, 'link' Window pop up, here you can do Internal
Linking, Email link, and words you type will show on your page.
5. Link Action. Choose the radio button of "Hyperlink". Type the text you want to display for
the link in the Text box. If you choose hyperlink, please write down the link and select
which way it will open, in a new window or current window.
6. Click "OK". The hyperlink will appear on the page you chose.
7. To modify setting or delete the hyperlink you just created, please set the "Layout" and
"Text Properties" tab on the right.

To modify hyperlink settings, double click its name, edit window will be available on the right.
To delete the hyperlink you do not want, please click 'Delete' Key on your keyboard.

Add Text

Add

1. Click Button at the left of the interface.

2. Left click, hold and drag the mouse to draw a frame on where you want to add texts.
3. 'Text Properties' window will be available. Type text content you want to add.
4. Set style of text, including Font, Color, Bold, Italic, Underline, size, etc. Tip: It is better you
choose a large font for easier look.
5. Position settings. You can enter the parameters of X/Y/Width/Height to adjust the position
of image.
6. Action. There're 4 actions when you click this text:
a. None. There's no action / respond when you click text.



b. Hyperlink. It will link to the website you specify. Enter link, and
select which way you want it to appear, in new window or current window.
c. Got to a page. You can specify it go to a page when you click the text. Just
enter the page number in the check.
d. Email to. You can enter email address, then it will send email to someone you
want when click the text.
7.Click "OK". The text will be saved and appear on the page you chose. You can just click
''Delete'' Key on your keyboard if you do not want to add this text.

Modify/ Delete

If you feel the added texts are not good as expected, then go to the 'Text Properties' interface
at the right and modify the parameters of the texts.

To change the parameters, please double click the name of the text and do the settings. You
can also drag the 'Text Properties' window to any position of working area.

To delete it, you can select it by click the name from 'Layout' window, then click button .



Add Image

Add
1. Click Image button at the left of the interface.

2. Left click, hold and drag the mouse to draw a frame on where you want to add image.
3. 'Image Properties' window will be available at the right of the interface.

4. click this button to select the image you want to add to this page.

a. None. There's no action / respond when you click image.
b. Hyperlink. It will link to the website you specify. Enter link, and select which way you want

7. Click "OK". The Image will appear on the page you chose. You can just click ''Delete' key
on your computer if you do not want to add this image.

Modify/ Delete

If you want to change them, please double click the name, the 'Image Properties' will be
available, just do changes.

Or delete them by select the name from Layout window, click button .

Add SWF

SWF is the dominant format for displaying animated vector graphics on the web, it can
also be used to decorate the flipping page.
Provided you have such SWF files in the computer, it can be added to the pages
easily by the following steps:



Add
1. Click Add SWF Button at the left of the interface.

2. Left click, hold and drag the mouse to draw a frame on where you want to add SWF.

3.'SWF Properties' window will be available. Click this icon to select the file you want to

import.

5. Click "OK". The SWF will appear on the page you chose. You can just click ''Delete'' if you
do not want to add this SWF.

Modify / Delete

If you want to adjust SWF setting, please double click the name of Elements at the right of the
operator interface.

To delete the SWF you do not want, please click the button .



SWF can embellish the flipbook page with dynamic effect.



Add Video

Do several clicks that you can easily add any video to output flash flipping e-
book:

Add
1. Click Add Video Button at the left of the interface.

2. Left click, hold and drag the mouse to draw a frame on where you want to add video.

3. Add Video window will pop up. Click this icon to select the file you want to add.

5. Options. You can set added video's display mode:
a) Loop. It will play from beginning again and again once video is end after this page is
active.
b) Auto Play. It will play automatically once you open flipbook without any click on play
button, and it will stop once video end.
c) Play only when page actived. It will play once the page which embed the video is
open.
6. Click "OK". The video will appear on the page you chose. You can just click ''Delete'' if you
do not want to add this video.

Modify / Delete

If you want to adjust video file setting, please double click the name of Elements at the right



of the operator interface.

To delete the video you do not want, please click button .



Add Sound

Add
1. Click Add Sound at the left of the interface.

2. 'Sound Properties', window will be available. Click this icon to select the sound file

you want to import. Click this icon to play the sound you selected. Then it will return to

, click it to stop playing the sound file.

3. Sound play mode settings. There are 3 options:
a) Play only when page actived: Sound will be play once the page which embed
sound is active.
b) Loop: It will play when page is active.When the sound is end, it will restart again
automatically from beginning, play again and again.
c) Auto Play: Play from beginning once page is active, then it will stop when music is
end.

5. You can just click ''Delete'' if you do not want to add this sound.

Modify / Delete

If you want to adjust sound file setting, please double click the name of Elements at the right



To delete the sound you do not want, please click button .



Add YouTube Video

Add
1. Click Add YouTube Button at the left of the interface.

2. Left click, hold and drag the mouse to draw a frame for video show on the page, it can be
as large as you like as long as it is smaller than the page.
3. 'YouTube Properties' window will be available.
4. Enter your video ID (You can copy the URL address of your Youtube video in this blank).
Please make sure that your network is OK, otherwise you can not open it to play. 5. Position
settings. You can enter the parameters of X/Y/Width/Height to adjust the position of the SWF.
6. Click "Refresh". The video will appear on the page you chose. You can just click ''Delete'' if
you do not want to add this video.

Modify / Delete

If you want to adjust video file setting, please double click the name of Elements at the right

To delete the video you do not want, please click button .



Add Hotspot

Add

1. Click Hotspot Button at the left of the interface.

2. Left click, hold and drag the mouse to draw a frame on where you want to add hotspot.
3. Add Hotspot window will be available. Position settings. You can enter the parameters of
X/Y/Width/Height to adjust the position of hotspot.
4. Action. There're 4 actions when you click this hotspot:
a) None. There's no action / respond when you click text.
b) Hyperlink. It will link to the website you specify. Enter link, and select which way you want
it to appear, in new window or current window.
c) Got to a page. You can specify it go to a page when you click the text. Just enter the
page number in the check.
d) Email to. You can enter email address, then it will send email to someone you want when
click the text.
5. Click "OK". The hotspot will appear on the page you chose. You can just click ''Delete'' if
you do not want to add this hotspot.

Modify / Delete

If you want to hotspot setting, please double click the name of Elements at the right of the
operator interface.

To delete the hotspot you do not want, please click button .



Setting

This tab let you customize your flipbook as you like. You could set Page Size,

Company LOGO, define some advanced settings and edit language. Make your flipbook
outstanding easily.
As picture shows, this tab contains 7 parts. Include tabs General, Advanced, Navigation,
Logo, Language, Bookmark and Tablet of Content. After save your settings, you can preview

your flipbook by clicking the Preview button on the top menu. And it's

convenience for you to do some change before publish.



General Setting

1) Page Size:
a) Autofill: automatically adjust the size of the output files according to your current file
page size.
b) Customize: You can enter the parameters of Width/Height to adjust the Page Size.

2) PDF Setting:
a) Render Profile, there are 2 formats you can be chose to convert to. SWF or JPEG.
b) Rasterize, There're 3 options you can choose about Rasterize, None, Vector
Shapes(convert Vector Shapes to Bitmap) and Vector Shapes & Text (convert
Vector Shapes and Texts to Bitmap). If your PDF document contains some special
shapes that can't be displayed normally, try these options.
c) Image Quality, you can select page quality by yourself. High quality output large file,
low quality output small file. Just choose what you need.



These are optional usages, you can choose them according to your demand.
a) Generate thumbnails for page quick preview. When you view flipbook online, the
flipbook is been loading, XFlip Pro will generate thumbnails for you to take a quick
preview. It may cause burring text or image, but it will be crisp after load completely.
b) Extract table of content. Table of content can be copied to flipbook, so you do not
need to generate it manually.

3) Title option:
You can change the title content which shows on left top of flipbook. You can change title
name/url/font/size/color etc.

After this general setting, you can save as a templete for your next using by click the button
'SaveAsTemplate'. And if you set this templete before, just click button 'LoadFromTemplate' to
use your previous template.



Advanced Setting

1) Book Option:
Right To Left: Read flipbook from right to left.
Hard Cover or Hard Page: Make your cover or pages look hard.
Center book when closed: Put the flipbook in the center when it's close, otherwise it's on right
or left.
Repeat Play: If your select ''Repeat Play'', the flipbook will continually to play from start when
it goes to last page.
Autoplay in start: If you want your flipbook auto play without click to flip, please tick the
option ''Autoplay in start''. You could set how many seconds of time gap when flip between 2
pages. Please change the number in the check after ''Auto Flip Duration'', range from 0 to
100.
Password: You can set password from here, so who read this book should enter password
first.
Google Analytics: By inputting your Google Analytics account ID in the publishing flip book,
you can monitor and analyze the traffic of your online flipping book with ease in your Google



Analytics account live. Nice way to increase your marketing effectiveness using Google
Analytics within the publications.
Page Thickness: Set thickness of pages, it's from 0 to 5, bigger number means thicker page.
Flip Speed: The speed of flipping book, from 0 to 1, smaller number means slower speed.

2) Margin:
You can modify margin of magazine on this section by changing the number, to arrange the
book position on page.

3) Background:
a) From the 1st option, you can select single color, or mix another color by ticking the
check before 2nd color check. By 3rd check, you also can choose the way how color
gradual change, there're 3 selections for you : Radial, Linear-h and Linear-v.

b) From the 2nd single option, you can embed static or dynamic colorful background
which added fun and good look to your flipbook.

You can add you own pictures as your background, just paste them into correct folders under
background folder(where you install our program), like:

Then you could select it as above point 2.

After this setting, you can save as a templete for your next using by click the button




Navigation Setting

From this section, you can edit buttons which you want to show or hide on your flipbook.
Don't forget to click 'OK' button to save the changes.

'SaveAsTemplate'. And if you set this templete before, just click button 'LoadFromTemplete' to
use your previous templete.



Logo Setting

1). Logo Option:
Here are simple steps to add logo:
a) Tick on Logo option.

b) Click button to load your brand logo from local driver.

c) Enter the link which will direct to the page when you click the logo. If you do not
want it, just leave it blank.
d) Set width and Height of Logo.

2). Set postion of logo:
Left Top, Right Top, Left Bottom or Right Bottom, choose one.





Language Setting

You can choose interface language of output flipbook by select the check box.




Bookmark Setting

You can add / edit / delete bookmark here, and system will be auto generated different color
for different bookmarks. If you want to edit the bookmarks, you can double click the name of
bookmak under Title bar. And under Page bar, you can also double click the page to edit, the
color can also be changed after double click, a color selected small window will pop up, you
can choose your favorite one.

You can add bookmark by click the button . To delete the bookmark you do not want,

please click the button .




Tablet of Content Setting

Program will load directory information automatically from your original PDF file.

If not, you also can add or delete by these buttons:

1. First button is for adding new title, new title will locate in last always.
2. Second button is for insert a new title, it will locate between the title you
clicked and the title next to it.
For example, if I click 1st title, after I click this button to add, then the new title
will appear between 1st title and 2nd title.
3. Third button is for adding subtitle.
4. Forth button is for deleting.
To edit Tablet of content, just simply click the title and page section, you
can type title content and page number accordingly.

Publish format

You could publish the flip book as HTML, Standalone SWF, EXE, ZIP, ScreenSaver, APP.

Making a HTML file
Both HTML files and SWF file will contain the embed code of your flip book. It's convenient to
use flip book on a website.
The SWF file included is suitable for publication on the web because of its small size and
user-friendly interactivity. You need Adobe Flash Player 9.0 or later to play SWF files.

Making a Standalone SWF
You can upload the standalone SWF flipbook to your web, blog, Facebook etc for online
sharing.

Making an EXE file
An Executable file is a standalone flash flip book that runs on any Windows PC. This EXE
file includes all of the information needed for display, no additional software is required. Ease
of playback makes the Executable output a widely-used format for sharing your flip book with
others. Executable file is a nice way to deliver your flip book for presentation.
*Warm prompt, most email server reject to delivery emails with EXE file, if you want to send
them, please first zip it.

Making a ZIP file



On the publish page, you could select zip and then start publish. It will generate a ZIP file.
After publish, there's a pop up window, you could use email function to send it to your
recipients. But first of all, you should install email client, like "Outlook".

Making a ScreenSaver file
You can publish it as a screensaver and make it ready-to-use .

Making a APP file
You can output as MAC executable file (APP), which can run on Mac.

Output Settings

You can define file folder and name of output SWF file.
Please remember to tick the check before 'Also create mobile version' if you want to view
this flipbook on mobile devices and the check before 'Generate auto-run file for CD' if you
want the output file can auto-run on CD when you run CD on your computer.

Social networks sharing:

share button when you view it online, then choose social bookmark. Also you could send your
link to any of your friends.



Share it on website:
a) Select HTML format option to publish your flip book.
b) Upload all files and folders under output folder to your website.
c) Get the link of the index.html file, type the link of your SWF file to browser, the
flipbook will display. You can also share the flipbook by this link.

View on Mobile Device:
Make digital publications which can be viewed on mobile devices like iPhone, iPad, iPod and
Android-powered devices. You just need to upload your publications to website, and people
can use mobile devices to read them. Only a browser is required in a mobile device to get it

Email to others:
a) Use email function after you publish successfully. But first of all, you should install
email client, like "Outlook".
